If I could give 0 stars I would. My hair was extremely long when I booked the apt. I told her I wanted layers, shower her a picture and said I’d want to go copper or blonde highlighter whichever was easier. She said she could not color my hair at all bc it was not “virgin hair”. Major red flag I should have left then but instead I trusted her with just a haircut because my hair was so long I needed it. She did not section my hair for layers and cut my hair to my shoulders which I did not want. The layers were extremely uneven and the length as well. She didn’t use any heat protectant before blowdrying. My hair got a rough blowdry and was not styled. This place is a DISASTER. If you’re not Brazilian or have virgin hair you will not have a good experience. To all the ladies with beautiful long hair DO NOT GO HERE PLS! She has a nasty attitude and everyone there was laughing at my hair and talking abt it in their language. She also completely stopped the service to take a phone call and play on her phone for about 10 minutes. Extremely unprofessional and I disputed the service with my bank thank god. I went back to my stylist that was out of town and she fixed the cut and got my hair the color I wanted the same day no breakage and only used a 20 vol. idk where this lady went to cosmo school but they should be ashamed she was even a student for them.
I’ve been to so many hair salons throughout life and with all honesty - CARLA IS THE BEST I ever had!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER! She’s honest and extremely professional, never damaged my hair and as long as she does her magic I will be coming back. Thank you so much for everything you do!!!
This was my second time getting my hair done at this salon and it was the worst experience. I arrived 9 minutes late to my appointment and had called beforehand to let Carla know, and during the call she had stated that she might not have the time to straighten my hair and do a trim and ended the call saying "we'll see". I had assumed that she was referring to the trim; I had already washed my hair prior to the appointment, which is why I was late because I learned from my first experience that my scalp was filthy after I arrived home. When I arrived I disclosed the fact that I had already washed my hair so to make up for lost time I told her to just apply conditioner and detangle. She applied the conditioner, but did not detangle my hair. When I got on the chair she told me that she only had time to trim my hair but not straighten, which made absolutely no sense since all that she could've accomplished in 9 minutes was the trim. She then told me that if I was not okay with that then I could reschedule. I then convinced her to just blow dry my hair and skip the styling and trim since I had driven an hour to come to her. She agreed, but decided to not apply any product onto my hair because that would require her to detangle my hair which she said she did not have the time for since she had a 2:00 PM appointment and my appointment was booked for 1:00 PM. So, she ended up doing the bare minimum and blow dried 75% of my hair. At that point I was already fed up. Her male stylist had a cancellation and kindly offered to finish up my service at 1:50PM since her next client was going to arrive. She was not even done with blow drying my hair, but she somehow thought that an hour time frame would have sufficed and said that it was my fault that she could not complete even 50% of the service. He ended up blow drying the section she did not finish and straightened and trimmed my hair. Carla was very rude and acted as if I was late by 30 minutes to the appointment. I was then charged full price for the appointment when she did not even wash, detangle or apply product to my hair. She has poor time management because you can't limit clients to one hour especially when I have very thick afro curly hair, which I know was the issue for her because she kept trying to find reasons to not style my hair. Clearly she does not service many clients with my hair type.
First time here was 12/2021. Been going there ever since! I love this place. My stylist is the best. Carla is such a sweet lady. Shes never done my hair but they are all amazing. I see her interact with her clients. She has a great business.

Carla and her stylists are amazing! I witnessed not just my own but multiple miraculous hair makeovers happen in the space of a morning... their "hair botox" treatment is life-changing, highly recommend!

I was sooo excited when I found Carla’s hair studio on Instagram! I was immediately impressed by the photos she posted and how great her work looked. I’ve been looking for someone who specializes in keratin/Brazilian straightening treatment so I was happy to come across Carla’s hair studio! She was quick, on time, friendly, and most of all she did a great job. My hair turned out very smooth and frizz free just like I was looking for. Definetly recommend !!! and she’s super affordable!
