The young lady at the front desk was very nice. I ordered brown stew chicken dinner and a 1/2 chicken dinner. My mother was eating the brown stew chicken to only find a fly in it. I live a hour away. Embarrassing and disgusting. Never again. Presentation is gross as well. My other meal was looked fine but I won’t be eating it. What a waste of $40 and hour drive.
I haven’t been to this restaurant in over a year, but each visit previous to today’s visit has been grateful, no issues. It’s amazing how a business can fall off and it seems that they always do. Today I got a vegetable plate. My cabbage is soggy my macaroni is greasy, and they put the cabbage with the plantains so my plantains Are swimming in cabbage juice. $19 for this. Ridiculous.
To start. I waited a couple of minutes until the cashier completed a personal call prior to placing my order. My order consisted of 1/4 Jerk Chicken (dk), and an order of Plantains (small). The first four slices of Plantain were hot, the next piece was COLD as were the remaining pieces. They were discarded for I didn't know how long they were kept. The Jerk Chicken wasn't Flavorful. Whatsoever!!! The chicken should've been marinated longer, not even a slice of hard dough bread to accompany the chicken. The
sauce was Tasty!! $15.00 WASTED!!
My boyfriend and I are jerk lovers and he stopped here on a whim for dinner and he really should have kept going. He spent over $100 and my goodness what a waste. Everything was so underwhelming. Down to the rice and beans with gravy. He ordered shrimp pasta, catfish, wings, and a chicken dinner. Nothing tasted jerk and the seasoning of it all was subpar. This is the worst jerk I’be ever had. I’d suggest a new recipe. The restaurant is located in a prime spot..the area deserves decent jerk.
The chicken by itself was not bad. However red flags everywhere. Cashier digging in her bra at the register pulling out lipstick???? $22 Shrimp dinner and it's 6 medium size shrimp???? not the sides I ordered???? The jerk sauce is trash!!???? Cabbage is bland???? the mac, yams, and rice and peas were below basic. Will Not Be Back. $49.84????????????????????I ordered through grub hub for pick up. I hate I couldn't cancel once I walked in the door.
I wish zero stars was an option. I always order from Caribbean jerk joint whenever I want jerk food and it has never given any issues. In fact, it’s always been great quality. I ordered the 1/4 jerk chicken with mac and candied yams from them and the quality is terrible. My chicken was burnt and not edible(dry/hard), my mac and cheese was dry and seems like it was old, and my yams tasted like there was chemicals or some type of cleaner poured on them. To top it off there was a hair in the yams. Thoroughly disgusted and dissatisfied.
I ordered the Ox tails dinner with the cabbage and it was AMAZING! The Miss' ordered the Curry Goat dinner with the yams which she also enjoyed thoroughly! I'd go back if I lived here.
I was so looking forward to my wing meal today. However the wings were like pigeon wings all 7 the beans and rice not the cabbage seemed fresh. I was disappointed, because the food was much better before
