I haven’t been to Captain K’s in a while, since I’ve been watching my caloric intake. This was a cheat day, so I decided to get the whiting meal. Big mistake! The restaurant is under new ownership and it’s no longer our great little seafood restaurant that we’ve known and loved. The whiting tasted like watered down frozen fish with no seasoning. The fries were a soggy, greasy, mess. The prices are higher and the meal was terrible. The staff were friendly and attentive. I wish I’d just gone to McDonald’s instead. If you plan on going here, just prepare yourself for a new experience. If you like the food the way it used to be, I don’t recommend this business.
The staffs was very accommodating and well organize. The place was very clean and the food was really good for the price I paid. Would come back again 10/10. Thank you for the great experience!
So disappointed. Didn't realize that Captain K was under new ownership but figured something was up when I saw the menu was different. We ordered our usual fish and shrimp combo and it was terrible! We took a few bites and threw the rest away. It was so greasy, the fries were soggy, and the hushpuppies had some weird breading inside of them. We used to love coming here for lunch but after this experience, it won't happen again.
The person who cooks the fries and the person who let the person cook the fries need to be fired 6 months ago already. Left pic is when the place was under the management of the Korean family. The right pic is under the management of who sadly does it now. Run away from this place unless you love burnt fries. Ruined my damn day! ????
First time going there after my father suggested it to me. Food was awesome and I will definitely return sometime soon
Flounder has no flavor, fries were burnt, bbq sauce was watery, tar tar sauce taste like ranch and hush puppies were stuck together and burnt… better off making it at home don’t waste you’re money guys…
This joint has been a staple of my household for many years. It had been awhile so we went yesterday. Much to our dismay we found it was under new ownership but ordered anyways. The food was terrible. It was so greasy the fries were soggy and all the breading on the shrimp and fish just dripped off. Worst of all the scallops which used to be really big and delicious were now the size or marbles. This place sucks and we will never go back.
Food is Horrible‼️‼️ Every since the new ownership, things never tasted the same???????? Bring back the old ownership and cooks please ????????
