Cozy little restaurant right off the highway. Came to find out that the restaurant been around for over 50 years! The previous owner passed, but the new owners are carrying over their legacy. ????

The chicken sandwich was delicious with homemade buns, mayo, and fries! With the restaurant being in the middle of nowhere, they really know how to serve the passerbys right with some great food!! ????

01/20 Most phenomenal experience. Drove 30 miles to get the best waitress, best food and best bourbon pecan pie ever.

02/25 Going To Capt. Jack's Stronghold Restaurant is a wonderful experience. Everything is locally sourced, for example they will get the potato's from the potato farm and it makes the best fries, the food is wonderfully cooked and the atmosphere is homey and fun.

Phenomenal food and people. The food was so delicious. Super fresh food that you can tell a lot of passion was put into making it. One of the best restaurants around. From the waitress to the Chef you couldn't ask for a nicer group of people. I love the back room where it's a little private. Make sure you get dessert! The cheesecake and pies are amazing. Can't wait to send all my friends and family there.

Awesome little place practically in the middle of nowhere.

The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, the food was excellect with locally sources potatoes for chips and fries, horse radish and homemade bread for buns and rolls, it just doesn't get any better as far as the best of rural home cooked meals and desserts, the prices were great for what we got in this current time....if your in the area and pass it by, you'd have missed out :(.....don't miss out!

The food and service was great! Everyone was friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. The drinks are large! The prime rib dip was so good! The Avocado BLT was yummy (the bread was toasted perfectly and not hard like other places) and the fries were freshly cooked (seasoned perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside). We’ll definitely be stopping by on our next trip.

Swung in early on a Saturday morning while trucking through the area. Good size parking area for trucks or RV's. Was pleasantly surprised that the food was GREAT as was the service, they refilled my big coffee mug, and the prices were reasonable. I would make this a "go to" if travelling this route again.
