Very plain food…wasn’t given salsa or tortillas. Didn’t provide any sauce. I asked the server to recommend the best plate but it was mid. He didn’t come to serve at all, keep talking with the table cleaning Señorita. Even the Sunday Night not busy at all, but the experience so bad. Not Recommend!
El Caporal is awesome. I wandered in for street tacos one day. I keep coming back. I love the barbacoa, carnitas and pastor. The fajitas are really awesome as well. The staff is great. They anticipate your needs ,and are accommodating.
First visit for a quick dinner. The place is very very clean and well decorated, it was a slow night and the server was sweet. She made some recommendations when I asked and I tried the beef burrito with Chile con carne and rice. Drank my favorite Mexican drink, an agua fresca pineapple and loved it because it's hard to find fruit flavored agua frescas. Sopapila for dessert, take it or leave it. I would love to come back and try more food and catch the margaritas on special on Saturday or Wednesday.
The first time I ate from here it was pretty good so decided to go back once more.. I guess I made the mistake of going during a busy time. Our food was nothing but meat and tortilla, no sauce, no cheese, nothing. Everything was very dry and way over cooked. Disappointing..
This was my first visit to this restaurant. I enjoyed the staff and atmosphere. The food is delicious. I definitely will return. I highly recommend Caporal Mexican Restaurant.

I wasn't sure where I wanted to eat lunch at today and for some reason I was hungry for Caporal restaurant monster burrito. That is what I had for lunch. The staff are all cheerful and friendly. What I really noticed is the salsa is slightly spicy but definitely not too spicy. I am a whimp when it comes to spicy foods. I think it is called a Caliente burrito. Unfortunately I strongly believe they serving unfiltered Montgomery tap water and I definitely could taste it. I filter my water at home. I enjoyed myself, I hope you will also.
This place definitely a statement for delicious authentic Mexican food. The food and drinks were great and our service was spot on. I definitely recommend this place for anyone to try.
From past experience from different mexican restaurants, the tacos served here are the most authentic there is. A hidden gem, do recommend, they have a wide range of menu items and the "barbacoa" is well made. Not many places can cook barbacoa and taste right.
Their service is outstanding as well. Everything I needed was already served without asking them, such as the salsas that came with the tacos.
Our group of 16 were seated immediately...the service was great and the food was really good. You need to try the corn cob...it's definitely different but tasty! Overall great experience!
