There was a line out the door, and about a ten minute wait for a table. And, the food did not disappoint. Ordered an omelet that came stuffed with meat, veggies, and cheese with a side of grits and sourdough toast. I washed it all down with the sweetest tea I've ever tasted! Our waitress was friendly and fast, and the portion sizes were plentiful.
The food was pretty good. I had the Sausage and Egg sandwich with potatos. The sausage and egg sandwich was good, one had more egg than sausage and the other had more sausage than egg, which I thought was hilarious. The wait for a table wasn't too long when we got there. The waitress we had was very busy with everything going on, took a couple of minutes to get our drinks, but she did her best getting our food & drinks to our table. The atmosphere was so loud, but other than that, it looked clean. I'd come back here again.
We visited this place in Oct 2020 and been looking forward to our return since. It didn't disappoint then and theis visit was the even better. Come ready to wait and ready to eat. The food is cooked with love ????. When I say my catfish was hot, OMG. Seasoned and delicious ????. Hubby had the pork chops fried well with a side of pecan pancakes. Our son had the waffle with sausage patties cooked well. Everything was delicious we will returned again.
I need to tell you about my first visit to the Capitol pancake house. Ann provided excellent customer service. And the food was cooked perfectly and very delicious. On top of all that I didn't have to wait long at all for my food maybe 5 minutes.
A real homestyle breakfast place, with a lived-in feel. Had the breakfast sampler, which was huge! I enjoyed it and the potatoes were surprisingly good. I enjoyed the pancakes, but they were not as fluffy as some places, so it just depends on what you prefer. I definitely got a lot of food for what I paid, so come with a big appetite! I highly recommend ????????
First time trying this place and will DEFINITELY return ASAP! Food was DELICIOUS! The meat lovers omelet (added Cheddar cheese) was so yummy, and loved the home fried potatoes. Crispy and cooked perfectly to me! Pancake was HUGE! Fluffy and sweet. Server was knowledgeable and stayed on top of things! Prices were affordable and great for the amount of food you get! Can't wait to try again!
Wow, the fried chicken definitely prep everything from scratch in the house. It does not taste like frozen chicken. The skin is crispy and juicy. The gravy biscuit on the side makes the chicken much tastier????. The veggies burger made everything from scratch, and it is not dry at all. The French fries are handmade and super crispy, too. I will definitely recommend it to anyone for breakfast ????
Good pancake house with a large menu and plenty of lunch offerings. Breakfast potatoes are good. Overall, the portion was large. The chicken fried steak was smaller and served with a small amount of thin gravy on top.
