This place was awesome and offered many different selections on tap. You have the option of trying something before having a full serving poured. I had ordered the chicken pot pie rolls and an Inkjet Cider. Phenomenal. My food came out warm and fresh and my beverage was sweet with an aquired taste.
The customer service was amazing. The servers and bartenders were extremely interactive and answered any questions I had regarding my selections.
The environment was awesome and the facility had an outside patio. This patio had some landscaped water nearby and baby ducks that were floating down the stream.
Definitely would recommend and will attend again.
Great beer selection. I had the chicken, shrimp, and andouille pasta which was really good. My server Seth was amazing and I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!
We decided to swing by for lunch after checking out the menu. We arrived around noon on a Saturday and there were only a couple tables sat in the restaurant. It took quite some time (about 5-10 minutes) for someone to come by the host stand and seat us. The staff was polite, but there seemed to be a lack of passion when it came to the menu. While the loaded fries were great, my entree (summer pasta) and drink were average. If in the area I'm willing to give it another try with a different menu item.
Went here on a slow Wednesday evening and had dinner at the bar. The decor was interesting and tactful. There’s a beautiful outside area but it was too cold to use on this night. The service by the two bartenders was friendly and just the right amount of attention. The tap and bottled beer list is extensive! Certainly something for everyone on it and a good amount of obscure ones to try as well. For dinner, had a salad, Alehouse cheeseburger and fries. All cooked and presented very well but taste was nothing special and the reason for not giving 5 stars. To be fair, there appeared to be many other tasty options on the menu.
From the moment we were seated, Cassidy H. went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of amazing. She greeted us with a genuine smile and made sure we felt comfortable and throughout our meal, her attention to detail and proactive approach were evident in every interaction.
Cassidy demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the menu, offering insightful recommendations that catered to our preferences. What truly stood out was her ability to anticipate our needs without being intrusive. Our glasses were never empty, and she checked in on us just the right amount, ensuring we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. Her genuine interest in our satisfaction made us feel valued and appreciated as customers. Thank you for making our visit so special. We will definitely be returning and will recommend Capital Ale House to friends and family, largely due to the incredible service you provided. You are a true asset to the restaurant, and we look forward to seeing you again on our next visit!

Haven't been here in years but always one of my fav brewpubs when in Richmond!!
That Viking Blod mead was unreal!!
We had made a reservation for a group of 12. Tables had been set up prior to our arrival, a server was ready to help us.
Service was excellent, the food came out almost simultaneously, and in a timely manner.
I think that everyone was pleased with their food; I certainly was, and I saw either clean plates or take home boxes for the rest of the group.
We will definitely be back.
