Still not any better , be prepared to wait all night/day, they dont care if your dying, if your a person who wants to live , dont go here. Also doesnt let the other parent stay with you. < they do they just get to pick who can have both parents and who cant> also watch your bag security broke mine ????????
5:30pm to 11:30pm. Wife broke her ankle. Wouldn't let me stay with her. Yet, there were other family members waiting. Some even eating food. I couldn't stay and comfort her. Dropped her off at 5:30. Put her in waiting lobby. Took x-ray around 7:30 pm. No physician or nurse asked her any preliminary questions. I'm not a doctor but a broken ankle, you would think elevate and ice. They did nothing till she started crying at 9:30pm. Her ankle swelled to what seemed four times the size. Then elevated and ice. Apologized and looked to get her in a room. Finally at 10:30 she was seen. She was discharged at 11:30. Don't know if this is an acceptable practice. It's ironic that they're remodeling and touting better care. How about getting more doctors and paying them to help patients now. You're putting lipstick on a pig if you don't address the reason why you're there in the first place.
Nice clean and friendly staff! Visited South Tower on today. Nice looking hospital as well on inside. Still working around the parking deck. Plenty of parking spacing was available in the parking deck. Card payment only for parking deck. Have to check in at entrance for visitors badge. Need ID to visit patients
The cancer center staff here is awesome. They take good care of you here. Love everyone here ❤️
Cape Fear Valley Hospital has always been kind to me. If, I ever had an issue it would be addressed. I felt comfortable with my care there and safety matters to them. They took their time with my care and never rushed through my issues.. I appreciate the fact that they didn't speed through caring for me and never made me feel like they didn't have time to listen.
Worst hospital experience ever!! my wife’s was supposed to be discharged 14 SEP. but they decided not to release her for some odd reason with no explanation when she was feeling good enough to leave. then on the 16 of September while going to her dialysis treatment, her ipad and wallet was stolen from her room and nobody could provide us reasoning on why someone would be able to access her room that easy. We called security to view cameras but that was no help, so we decided we would wait for Monday and call rsk management to speak to a representative . Ever since Friday my wife has been basically neglected by the staff and she was told she was being released SEP 19th all of a sudden. None of this makes sense at all how they are treating people and supposedly this same situation has been happening at this hospital frequently. This needs to be looked into.
Poorly staffed. Was there twice both experiences were nightmares. There were a couple of nurses that were like angels. With being a EMS provider I found more than a more than a few personnel with poor problem solving capabilities.
I had a nightmare experience in the er! I was there because of elevated blood sugar. The staff was friendly and all, but the waiting area was another story. There were homeless people and mentally ill people wandering around the area. I got called back in about two minutes only to be sent back out and wait from 10:00pm until 3:00am. No medication given, no further instructions given, and nothing to lower my blood sugar, told to see my family doctor. Seriously?????????????????????????
