Amazing food with incredible flavor and huge portions! The vegan plate is so good and has so many veggies. Highly recommend!

Loved this place and Mr Mike's recipes are amazing! They have a small menu, and it's fantastic. Loved the oxtail, chicken curry, and the jerk chicken is incredible. They're great people and I was super happy to meet them. Glad I have so much leftovers!

Curry goat was just perfect. Service friendly. Nice sitting at their outdoor tables right on Central Avenue.

My boyfriend brought me home a spicy vegan plate and every bite is perfection. The veggies are crisp and the seasoning is on point. I can’t wait to get it again!

Bro I walked up to this shop thinking. “Nah maybe not, I’m not that hungry”. But then my friends got something.

I was so wrong. I literally licked the bones clean. The meat fell right off and I sucked down these plantains like someone was about to steal them from me.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

I really hate to have to give less than one star. The lady at the counter was very professional and welcoming. We ordered the oxtail and stew chicken. The oxtails were almost overly salty, very dark like black, tough and seemed to be old. They tasted horrible. The stew chicken was bland with old gravy or whatever. We ordered yellow rice with it, our mistake. It had no taste, usually yellow rice has its own little hint of spice. They loaded the plate down with rice and added extra black gravy from the oxtail, another mistake. As I picked through cabbage/veggies trying to find pieces not saturated with the salty dark overwhelming gravy I had a a spoon full of veggie they were cooked and tasted ok. I just believed this place wouldn't disappoint but it was a true let down. I said maybe this was just a bad day or maybe because we came in early, and maybe give them a second chance, but to waste money on food like that is crazy. If I could I would give them the entire meal and let them re-do

I mean, seriously, so good. Finally open again after COVID. The staff is so friendly. But the food…oh my. We had the jerk chicken and the spice was perfect. We also had the oxtail. I was literally sucking on the bone. And the sauce/gravy-I got some bread so it wouldn’t go

to waste. Incredible portion sizes that are well worth the price.

I have been trying to find ox tail that reminds me of my time in the islands all over Pinellas County and this is the first time I found an ox tail dish that has the right dark rich color was tender, but still had nice texture and wasn’t greasy. Lots of great layers of flavor. Mr. Mike at Calabash is making some wonderful authentic island dishes.

The curry goat was also excellent and I love the traditional sides of cabbage and rice & peas.

Everything had just the right amount of spice and they even had my favorite grapefruit soda “ting”!
