I bring all my family and friends here to introduce them to West African food. The Jollof Rice with Chicken is always a hit, and the staff/cooks are great people too. I'd definitely recommend!
Never had spinach stew with no spinach ????.Food was disgusting, I never had spinach stew with zucchini and big chunks of onion. And fish tasted dirty because it had a strong after taste. It was my first time ordering and now it’s 30 minutes from work with traffic. But I did call them to let them know I was highly disappointed smh. I guess I’ll just take the loss of my $17 ????
Love the food always. Happy that they are back open after being closed for quite a few months. Only negative thing I have to say is the poor hospitality but I’ve seen this is common for most African cuisines that I’ve visited in the states. They lack good customer service outside of the owner and the cook.
This was my first time eating African food! I got the fufu, skewers, and spinach stew. The food was top notch! The owners are great and personable. The aesthetic and vibe was awesome. I am definitely going back, would definitely recommend Calabash. 10/10
I really enjoyed my Jollof Rice and Chicken. The spices were just right and not overpowering. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Friendly and attentive service. Nothing fancy, just a nice place to go to enjoy a good meal.
I have been a customer to this restaurant for about four years. They recently underwent renovations toward the end of 2023 and early 2024, and were closed for some months. I looked forward to their reopening.
It was great to see the food was still good, as usual. I have not experienced subpar food from them. 10/10.
However, the service was completely unacceptable. It took me over an hour to receive my food. Two parties who arrived after me, with larger groups, were provided their full meals before mine came out. I was disappointed and expected better. I hope the management put in considerable work to make sure this does not happen again.
