Best WLM Reviews

Great place for sharing a meal with many friends. We ordered garlic noodle with shaken beef, combination seafood fried rice, fried crispy tilapia with fries, fried calamari, corn, sweet potato fries, 1# shrimp each with different flavor: Louisiana, California, garlic. The meal was tasty. You can request mild sauce on shrimp and get sides of hot sauce. Service was efficient and friendly.
Definitely a hole in the wall food spot!!! When you enter the store, you are instantly greeted and are gestured to sit down at a table. I’ve been here multiple times and each time, service has been quick and food has been consistent with quality.
This food spot is a casual, Vietnamese comfort Cajun spot that has a variety of Vietnamese food along with Cajun seafood. The sauce you have to get here is the Original Louisiana sauce! On this visit, we ordered the Garlic Noodles with extra garlic and 3LB Combo with Shrimp, Clams, Crawfish, 2 pieces of corn, 2 pieces of potatoes, and 4 pieces of sausages all mixed with the Original Louisiana sauce. The sauce tastes creamy, buttery and mixes really well with the seafood. You can tell it was cooked fresh when ordered.
Garlic noodles were good. I always like to add the Original Louisiana sauce onto the garlic noodles and eat it with the seafood. Regular garlic noodles are good here but if you love garlic, I would recommend ordering it with extra garlic.
Gloves are provided to use if you don’t want to use your bare hands to open the seafood.
The food is so good. 2 of us finished around 12 pounds of crawfish shrimp and clams.
I've never been more confused by the number of good reviews for a restaurant, and I've never left a restaurant after a few bites of food to go find a meal elsewhere. Until now! I was hoping this was a hole-in-the-wall strip mall gem of a Vietnamese place with a new take on Cajun flavors, which paid more attention to taste than to ambiance (our food came in plastic bags). Instead, it seems to be an overpriced boiled seafood provider.
After a long day of exercise, we were hungry enough that a drive through burger joint would have tasted just fine, and we probably should have just done that. We left after about 5 minutes for a nearby taqueria, with apologies to the very kind waitstaff, who were the best part of our experience there.
I feel bad for writing this review, because the owners and waitstaffed all look like they were really nice people. But I knew it was going to be an incredibly bad meal when I walked in, my girlfriend was hungry.
The restaurant is in extremely strong contention for the worst meal that I've ever had in my life. I tasted the food they brought out but I didn't eat any of it. I was initially concerned that an Asian restaurant was trying to do cajun, without a hint of irony, but it was somehow worse than I had thought. Southern food and Cajun is not my specialty, but I know it well enough to know what tastes good. I've never seen a Cajun place that gives you surgical gloves at the table, if you have any Southern pride whatsoever or are even slightly foody, this place is going to feel very insulting.
The restaurant is all 20 something year old or high school kids, and the wait staff on ceremoniously brings out a metal bowl with a giant plastic bag which inexplicably has the boiled food along with the sauce. There's a multitude of problems here and it's hard to know where to begin, my clams for all smashed with shell pieces throughout the whole plastic bag, for some reason the plastic bag was full of shrimp antenna, and the sauce was just nothing short of an abomination. It was truly, astonishingly bad even belying explanation, but it was this sort of super runny consistency low quality milk with just terrible spices, it honestly felt like an exaggerated joke of what terrible Chinese food would be like if they didn't understand what Cajun was but maybe saw it on TV once.
Honestly, and I feel bad for saying this, generally my negative reviews I try to have some constructive feedback for the proprietors, maybe suggestions about things that they could work on. In this case I can't there's nothing redeeming about this establishment. They definitely seem like they're doing very well with the late teenager crowd of various Asian ethnicities but I must say in the strongest possible terms, avoid this restaurant.
I am a huge fan of the sweet california sauce! MY FAVORITE sauce to get with seafood: super sweet and buttery. can't even compare to other seafood broil sauces at kickin crab or boiling crab.
I always order the 3 lb combo (2 crawfish, 1 shrimp) and share it with my boyfriend or whomever I bring into the restaurant. The crawfish is always cooked perfectly and HUGE in size. The shrimp is sometimes overcooked and sticks to the shell... could even possibly be frozen?, but still very delicious.
absolute gas pack hole in the wall. like stepping into Vietnam, very hole in the wall, family owned business. Opens until 4am. Went at 1am and was being served by a kid and his dad, the seafood boil, flavor and sauce is amazing, garlic noodles with shaken beef is a hit too.
The BEST crawfish joint in San Jose hands down. Their sauces are flavorful, creamy, and always consistent. Kickin Crab, Clawshack, and Boiling Crab’s quality has drastically decreased over the years, leaving it pretty hard to find a decent seafood boil. Cajun Bistro never disappoints! It’s a little further from me than I’d like but it is worth the drive 100%
