4/7/24- 3 stars as an average score since this location was about average for a Café Rio. I tried one of their new bowls and it was super soupy for some reason. I had to ask for one of their metal bowls because it was soaking through their cardboard bowls. The staff were nice. Also this end of the larger parking lot is hard to navigate because parts are marked one way and trying to get in from the Home Depot direction can be a challenge.
Not a bad place & I’ll be back 2 sample more menu items. I had a smothered chicken & pork burrito ????. I visited close to closing time and they had no steak ????????
However,my burrito ???? was alright enough to wanna return for other things.
The staff were all super friendly and helpful because we had never been there before.
So check em out if you’re ever in the neighborhood and holla at a Playa ????????
We’re big Cafe Rio fans (for ~10 years) and we’re super happy to find this new location, close to our hotel we stayed at for a couple of nights.
They opened in October 2022, so at the time I’m writing this the restaurant is less than a year old and looks and feels great!! The colors, the layout, staff and food are top notch!
As an extra bonus:
1. They have a drive through! So jealous for anyone who lives close to this place ????
2. They have the touch screens to order from (not many locations we’ve been to have had those and we’ve been to ID, UT and a few in CO)
We had the pulled chicken, grilled chicken and steak salads, no complaints would absolutely go back if we are in the area!
Oh my heck. I ordered a freakin salad! Where is the lettuce?!? Cafe Rio used to be my favorite but now consistently disappoints. I definitely will never come to this location again.
First time in, and may I say wow!! Food was amazing and the sweet pork just incredible. This place is way better then Chipotle. 13 dollars for a salad that I ate on twice. Will return to try the bowls!!!! And the mango lemonade compliments the meal perfectly. Not to mention homemade horchata.
AMAZING. We’ve been to lots of Cafe Rios and this one was definitely the best when it comes to high energy and customer service. Everyone we talked with was friendly and helpful. The food quality was excellent! The lady working the tables was great - she brought us silverware and traded our tray for “extra room”.. so nice! So excited to have a Cafe Rio in this part of town!
We have been dining here at least 2 times a month for about 5 months. Some months we ate lunch there 2-3/week. The service is normally fine. Went through the drive through a could of days ago and got 2 tacos w guac. When we saw the SIZE of the tacos I went back in to get new ones, plus they forgot the guac. As I was talking to a nice lady there, a rude man came up and told me this is the industry standard on size. Ok, we've never had them this small and if this is the case, all your ads are false advertising! Like everyone else, raise prices and make it smaller. Your food is too expensive for these TINY tacos. I really didn't appreciate the man being so dismissive to me when I was absolutely in the right. I will not be paying that much for half a taco again! Bummer because we love their food!
I placed a fairly large catering order for pickup on 1/3 at 1050am. Adding the time and date so that all the team members could be recognized. Every one of them were super kind and helpful. The food was packaged nicely and tasted great! Will definitely use again for catering needs!
