Best WLM Reviews

This place is really disappointing. I had a former coworker tell me about Cafe Rio who said it was really good and was way better than Costa Vida. I wanted to like this place, but I went there three times (each time spaced out half a year plus) and each time was pretty much the same. Overpriced, low quality food that wasn't fresh (I did dine-in all three times).
This place is just like Costa Vida, except Costa Vida is 10x better. The only thing worth getting here is the sweet pork barbacoa which tastes decent, but even then Costa Vida's sweet pulled pork is better. The pico de gallo isn't too bad for a fast food place either, but I've had much better.
We frequent this place every time we drive past Castle Rock. Our appreciation for Cafe Rio goes back ~10 years and we appreciate having the option in Colorado!
Depending on when you come, the restaurant can be pretty busy. That’s a good thing after all! Who wants to eat at an empty restaurant!?
What we enjoy is the consistency in quality and service we get every time.
The food is always fresh and because of the popularity it stays fresh throughout the day.
Everything is prepared here at the time it is served.
We’ve probably tried everything on the menu and never been disappointed. Our favorites are the chicken and pork salads. Today we also got a kids quesadilla to hold us over u til we could get to enjoy our salads and that was absolutely delicious too!
Given the flexibility to add what you want you can make your meal vegetarian or gluten free also.
The staff is great and they all work hard and fast.
This location has an outside seating area, alongside the inside, air conditioned salon. It’s only a few moments off of I-25, so very easy to get to and right next to the Castle Rock outlets in case you need anything else to do.
Overall, we will continue coming back here until we have a Cafe Rio closer to where we live!
If this is the quality I can expect then I'm hyped. Much tastier than Chipotle. In particular the quality of the meat, chips and they have dessert! :) I also like the addition of the cojita cheese. Chipotle's chips are practically inedible because they are too salty so I was devouring these haha so good. Also I had a much more expensive Mexican place recently and this was better so I appreciate the value. Highly recommended I hope my next experience is on par with this one.
Ordered takeout tonight for dinner. We got a burrito and a quesadilla. The burrito was good, but the quesadilla was sitting in liquid and was a soaking wet mushy mess, like someone had spilled water all over it. Ended up having to throw the quesadilla out because it was so gross. This place is too expensive to have quality control issues like this.
Came here tonight. And I gotta say, Cafe Rio has some really fresh food. My family got a bowl and a quesadilla, and the food was really good. It was warm and flavorful, and the ingredients tasted like they were just made. And for the value of it all, it was a very fair price. My only thing was, we were going to order guacamole, but it was brown. Although their food is fresh most of the time. I recommend coming to Cafe rio.
I ordered take out last night, and was nothing but disappointed from the get go. When I went in to the restaurant to grab my food, there was a noticeably irritated long line of people. I was thankful I had ordered ahead, so I happily grabbed my food and ran back out to my car. The bag didn't feel right, so I looked at everything and immediately noticed they hadn't included the dressing. I ordered a salad and paid extra for extra dressing, so it was something I absolutely had to go back in for. I was never acknowledged by a single employee, including some guy who appeared to be a manager, who was running around (addressing no one) and talking on the phone. The people who were trying to pay at the register were very upset, and even mentioned their food would be cold. Not a single apology was uttered to them, and it was so frustrating to watch. I waited for 10 minutes before I could get someone to bring dressing. When I got home, I was only more disappointed - brown guacamole and mushy pico were in the side in containers. The salad wasn't made the way I had ordered it, and the tortilla that it usually comes in was just excluded completely. Unfortunately, I've had my fair share of subpar experiences at Cafe Rio. 10/10 will not be returning, do not recommend.
Once upon a time, when traveling to Utah, my 'go to' was Cafe Rio. I was excited when we got one in Castle Rock. Over the last couple of years, the quality has declined. My most recent visit will serve as my last time to this location for sure.
Guacamole was diced avocado, not the same thing. Beef Barbacoa was greasy and upset my stomach. The quesadilla was cooked too fast and made the tortilla unrecognizable and crummy tasting.
DISAPPOINTING! I will protest with my feet and never return.
Just got food to go here, had a great staff making the food and the manager explaining the difference between them and chipotle as I almost grabbed the burrito to hand eat and would have spilled everywhere. I got caught up in conversation and forgot to pay and then ran back in and the team helped me resolve that quickly. Would eat there again based on the staff alone, food is pretty dang good too.
