I ordered a chicken quesadilla the last time I went there and they were very rude to me the whole time. I asked for the side of sour cream and guac that their menu says comes with it and the lady flung it on top of my foil, not even in cups. When I got home the cream had melted. I like cafe Rio so I went back to give them a second shot tonight. The service was a little better, but once again when I asked for the side that it literally comes with, and they flung it on the rest of my food. Not separated at all again. Also I got just the meal, no drink. So why was my total $4 more than the price listed on their menu? It’s just ridiculous. I won’t be going back to this location for a while.
Look, it's Café Rio. It's delicious. If you like pork, you'll love the sweet pork. It's the only Mexican fast food place around Vernal I know that has sweet pork. The amount of "good" food for your buck is unmatched. I been here years and years. They have occasionally had a total tool serving food and have had a flying bug land in food but it's an open air food station in a farming community! Don't be that person that's like "OH my gosh a bug just flew unto my food! I want the manager!". Can't stand those people. City folk are the worst. But reigning it in, serving staff lacks smiles and happy attitude but they get the job done and that's what I want. There needs to be authentic Mexican music playing inside and not so loud I can't hear people talk, but loud enough I feel the Latino love. They had a recent chair replacement which I really appreciated! At the end of the day, you can't go wrong with an enchilada style burrito, sweet pork nachos, or chicken salad. Soooo stinking good!
Love these guys. I’ve never had a bad experience with the place and they’ve been my first choice when it comes to eating out in Vernal for years now. Good quality food, I can always expect the same delicious meal whenever I order my favorite - Shredded Chicken Nachos with a side of queso (as seen in the photos). Pair that with a Horchata as my drink and my day has already been made. Too good for leftovers!
Haven't been to a cafe rio in a long time. This last visit was very good. We're were happy with the price and even brought some food home for a late night snack. Highly recommended.
Done, I am boycotting cafe rio completely, i have given them multiple chances to do better and it seems to only get worse. I ordered a burrito tonight and received a 1/8 to 1/4 cup of shredded pork, and an excessive amount of rice and beans. Between that and the pico drowning the burrito in water, it’s clear they do not know how to make Mexican food. Good bye and do better most people don’t stand for poor quality, poor service. Adios.
The shrimp tacos are supreme. I tried them for the first time and “WHY I HAVEN’T HAD THEM?” The restraint is clean and the staff is busy but friendly. I will come next week.
We ordered take out an near end of the meal bit into something hard rock like. Spit it out an washed it. Looked like a small pebble. Brownish. Have no idea what it was. This is just one of many things over the years with this place. 10/10 wont be back for a long dam time if ever. Only go there for spouses benefit. So fricken livid that i wanted to go down there. But instead ill just leave this nasty review. Screen your employees, next time just might be a lawsuit.
ordered through the app i just want to say driver was amazing! they forgot my two drinks which i upgraded to be a large on both of them, we ordered two of the 2 taco entrees, one order they forgot the sour cream, and there was barley any chicken on one of the tacos. on the other order there was a hard white square thing found in the food. i tried to call the store multiple times and it never went through. i am a very big lover of cafe rio so sad it wasn't good tonight.
