We had a Sunday brunch at Mystique Cafe. Great location on Castro. Very nice terrace for an outdoor lunch. Sangria was a highlight, with hints of cinnamon, and with fruits inside, it tasted great. Great service. Food was very nice, eggs Florentine with crab cakes is a highlight. The crispy fried potatoes are delicious.
My brother brought me here as he described it, "his favorite restaurant." Italian cuisine. We both had pasta dishes followed by dessert. Lemon Chicken pasta with an olive oil base was his dish. Spaghetti, mushrooms & meatballs was mine. Both plates were beautiful and scrumptious. Bananas Foster for dessert!
Dinner was a great experience. Atmosphere is warm and cozy. The food was fantastic! I started with the hummus and then had the lamb risotto... both were fantastic! Highly recommend!
Great place and great food. The best experience I’ve had in SF so far. There is a twist to the food that can keep you going again and again! The service was exceptional!

15yrs later and Cafe Mystique is still standing @ "The Stro," San Francisco. They got to be doing something good to be around that long. I get it!! Owners still do an amaizing job as ever with their quality customer service and trainning. The waiter/servers/staff are what Castro needs.... well grommed, well trained and pretty spot on at their work.. A holiday break in SF is always worth it when I have Cafe Mystique to rely on no doubt!!! Always and 4Ever a 5Star.
WHEN IN THE CASTRO, WHERE ELSE BUT CAFE MYSTIQUE".. hehehe....they know I love them since I walked into their restaurant on the first day they opened and 13+ yrs later iam still going there. That's my go to place when in San Francisco. U will never know until u try it out... its definitely always a 5star in my book... ❤
Strictly speaking, It is not a mediterranean restaurant. They have meals from various cousins. We tried shrimp risotto, chicken in vodka sauce an mediterranean pasta. All tree were good, the risotto was the best.
We also liked a laid back atmosphere, nobody was pushing us to leave the place after we finished meals, we could enjoy outside siting while sipping our drinks
Good food and service, cocktails are nice too. The staff definitely pay attention to patrons who regularly visit, and provide a very welcoming and friendly experience!
Great food! The restaurant have a nice inside atmosphere and great option to eat outside in the sidewalk. I ordered a shrimp risoto and my girlfriend a chicken pasta, both were perfect. The attendants was great!
