very bad experience, the warranty is as bad as their work, they fixed my transmission, it didn't make it to 7500 miles
This shop owner is a scam artist. No worn parts were shown after overcharged service. I called the Police but they left before Kearny police showed up. Basically he charged me $500 over initial estimate and I had no choice to pay the bill. I wasn't allowed to test-drive my own vehicle before paying out the $500 over charged bill. I try to go to civil court with my police report and post results here. Just save yourself and find an honest repair shop. Also the warranty was 6 months or 15.000 miles first but after pick up it was reduced to 6000 miles. Even a used transmission for half the price has more warranty. Truly unprofessional scam artist. I agree with some of the previous reviews here.
After one year transmission doesn't work
These guys are knowledgeable, thorough, honest and their prices are very reasonable.
My friend had his Honda transmission repaired there and I; recently had work done on my Mazda.
Neither of us would consider taking our cars anywhere else from now on!
My car didn't move any more. The transmission no longer worked. I made a dozen calls. Most shops recommended a rebuilt transmission, ranging from 2,600 to 4,200 dollar plus labor. I was thinking of buying another car rather than spending that amount of money.
Thanks to Ken from C & S, who looked at my car and fixed the transmission for much less. Now I can go shopping with a car again.
I respect Ken a lot as he treats car service not only as a business but also as an art.
here are the basic problems with that business
- They have the mechanic not speak with the clients so they can make up problems
- They do not test drive the car with the owner inside to show them that the problem has been fixed
- They are good at scamming people.
I took my car there for one problem, they said it was the transmission, got it rebuilt $1500.00 and a week later i got my car back with the same problem, gave them the car, a month later they blame it on the engine. They refuse to refund the my money because they rebuilt the transmission, right im sure they did but that was not the problem. Its going to be a pain to file a civil lawsuit now.
