Mmmmm! Delicious burgers in this place that’s been around for - long time. The neighborhood has literally changed, but this place remains. The burgers are excellent. Fresh and hot. Fries are good. Service is great.
They do have plenty of parking in their own lot.
Classic burger joint. I got a cheeseburger and fries. Both were made quickly. Fries are hot and crispy. Burger was a nice thin patty with brioche bun. Spent $14 which is more than I'd like but the ingredients taste high quality, so I guess that's why.
I’m from the South. I think I expected a “How can I help you?” Or “What’ll you have”. Instead I got a steely testosterone stare. I didn’t know where to order or how to order. I guess you are just supposed to yell it at them. Aside from that, the food was fricking delicious. I’ll go back when I visit again. In the mean time I’ll work on my bark. Photos on the wall indicate they catered at the White House for Obama…Very Cool!
Very tasty Chicago style dogs. Pickle and tomato were fresh. One of the better hot dog stands in Chicago
A classic hot dog stand. Delicious Vienna Beefs and good fresh toppings. Fries are skinny, fresh, and salty. I'm not sure why they don't have poppy seed buns, but I'll let it pass.
The place has been here for more than forty years, They know what they do best and they stick to it. If you're like me and it was an impulse buy, This scratches an itch when the desire for traditional Chicago food crops up, or what I would call "baseball food." Hot dogs and burgers and sausage and Italian beef.... Good pricing for most of it and service was very fast. I appreciate that they don't skip on the vegetables, Feels more like a meal. I imagine kids would enjoy this just because it's simple and not a lot of frills. I like that they don't screw around, they aren't offering kimchi donut burgers because that's not their shtick... There is a time in place for that stuff. Plus I have respect for anybody who does what they can to maintain Green River as an available soda to the Chicago public. Great lunch!
Really freaking good Chicago style hot dogs. The fries were delicious. The wife was thrilled with her super generously sized Italian Beef Sandwich.
so. we went here with pretty high expectations. i mean, the former PRESIDENT recommended this place!!!! however. beware! we got some fries, milkshakes, a burger, and a chicago dog. while all were pretty good, the hot dog gave us FOOD POISONING!! unacceptable behavior. thanks obama????????
