Best WLM Reviews
My husband and I wanted a date night and he loves Prime Rib so this was a perfect spot.
Casual enough we didn’t need to dress fancy but still fine dining
Arrived at 5 with reservations and sat immediately.
Excellent server was very attentive and personable. Made recommendations.
Salad was fresh, we both had the honey mustard dressing. I found it a bit spicy but I’m a wimp for spice. Husband loved it
French onion soup was good, not salty, but could have had a richer flavor. Surprise cheese on bottom .
What a nice deal to get soup, salad and bread with meal!
Boom boom shrimp were excellent, sauce on side per our request but no spice at all. Just a sweet remoulade sauce. Large shrimp and plenty to share.
My husband had the prime rib ( bone in a huge!) with loaded steak fries.
Large cup of Au jus and horseradish included. I tasted and just excellent, tender and cooked perfectly. He added a 1/2 rack of ribs and they fell off of bone.
He couldn’t eat it all and wrapped nicely to take.
I had the filet special and baked potato. So tender barely needed a knife, very flavorful.
Amazing dinner.
Just a note: bread extremely lackluster. White type small loaf, not toasted and barely warm. Not worth the calories.
Yes we got dessert!
I got the white chocolate berry cheesecake, he got a peanut butter something.
Just Heavenly.
Adding to our list for a great couples night.
This restaurant is one of the older locally-owned establishments in Indianapolis, and it has a charming, old-fashioned feel.
The dry-aged tips, house salad with ranch, and baked potatoes were all fantastic. The meat quality is much better than that of your average chain restaurant and it’s reasonably priced.
Do yourself a favor and eat a steak from this place. It's quality AND quantity. They also give you bread, salad, and soup!
The French onion soup which came with the meal honestly went hard. Also, you should definitely get the honey mustard dressing for your salad. Bread was hot and delicious.
I ordered the 8 oz sirloin medium rare, topped with garlic and butter (worth the extra $4), and I absolutely devoured that thing. Juicy, juicy, juicy!
The only issues we had were that my table of four had a 7:00 p.m. reservation, but we weren't seated until 7:10 p.m. after I went up to ask the hostess again about it. It was a Saturday night and the place was crazy packed.
Also, the wait staff were doing their best -- God bless them-- but we definitely had some things fall through the cracks. They brought us our salads but forgot the bread and soup, so we had to ask for them later on after our meals arrived. They might need more staff for peak hours.
Overall, if you like steak and have the money, eat here for a quality meal and a lively atmosphere.
I usually don't leave negative comments but considering what we paid for our dinner.......I'm not coming back. Steak looked good but quality was poor. Broccoli was disgusting overcooked and sauce/flavoring was unidentifiable. Her filet was over sauced and she asked for it as a side. Funny how the service dropped off after they delivered the food. They never returned except with the bill. I dont get the hype. Was it a fluke? Maybe there's a reason they keep the lights low?
The food is ????????…the stuffed tater tots are crazy good! The onion soup is good enough to drink. Great, friendly service. Definitely a place you visit more than once!!
We had dinner there for Christmas Eve and the food especially the prime rib and french onion soup was outstanding along the service!!! Will definitely be back to this establishment!!! Thank you for such a great Christmas Eve dinner!!!
Outstanding service!! Great food! Our waiter was wonderful AND thank you to Bob for coming to our table to welcome us!! This is a must stop when you are in the Indianapolis area!
My fiance Wendy and I enjoyed our valentine's date at this amazing steak house the owner dad comes around greeting customers and they have great steaks there God bless everyone
