I've always liked the Buzz Inn, it has been a go to for many years. It was also the place we always went on my birthday. The food was consistently good, waitstaff great, and atmosphere pleasant, hence the 5 stars for those categories.
However, after a recent visit I'm not sure I will go again. I went for my annual birthday dinner with my wife. When the waitress arrived, I asked her to remind me what the birthday special was. Much to my disappointment, I was told that the Buzz Inn cancelled that program. Mind you, I believe in the past it was like $15 off. The waitress explained that the management/ownership cancelled it earlier in the year. Keep in mind that unlike places like Red Robin where you get a coupon good for your birthday month, at the Buzz Inn, the deal was only on your birthday. Most people do not go out to dinner on their birthday by themselves, so the check would have certainly been large enough to cover the $15.
My entire meal I was telling my family, how disappointed I was. While it may seem trivial, with all the other options available, I knew that on my birthday, I could go to the Buzz Inn without any arguments.
To top it off, when the bill came, the bottom of the bill had the usual tip recommendations % and $. I did the calculations, and the tip recommendations were based on the entire bill, including tax, which has never been acceptable.
This community hang out always has great food, fun pull tabs and amazing servers.
The owner is a huge supporter of the town.
Truly a place where everyone knows your name. All the locals are warmly greeted by name and often a hug. Although we were outsiders were were warmly embraced by the friendly staff as well. We choose to dine in the bar and take advantage of there excellent Happy Hour deal on appetizers. We ordered a couple each. The portion sizes were beyond generous and were well prepared. All in all we really enjoyed our afternoon and will be back to try their delicious looking steaks!
The food is delicious, the staff friendly, and they didn't take long to serve our food even though the place was full.
Chill neighborhood bar and restaurant. Great happy hour offerings and good place to watch a game. Waffle fries were perfectly cooked and delicious with Ranch sauce. The Bacon wrapped steak bites or meatballs are worth the try, but they are deep fried. Can’t go wrong with their coconut shrimp.
Look out for extra charges after you get your mediocre steak and bland salads. If you order anything to- go they'll charge you extra. Use a charge card, they'll charge you extra. This may be normal behavior somewhere, but there's no signage that's clear to warn you ahead of time. And when we brought it up, the manager chose to let us know it our was our fault for not seeing the non- existent sign and then made fun of us as we left(yes, we heard.)

We had heard all good things and were excited to try them. Did take out as we were at the motel next door. Got biscuits and gravy even ordered 2 helpings. Walked over to pick-up but had to stand there for almost 10 minutes to pay as there was only one card reader..... odd. Get back to room and find the saddest excuse for biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were basically very tough and flat. Then add (overbaked? Burnt?) Bottoms made to very difficult to eat. Gravy was nothing special either....
Ordered take out. They said 15 to 20 minutes so I gave em 30 as it's Friday night I show up and the gentleman at the counter asked if I was picking up take out and I said yes and told him my name he rudely said that ones not up yet so I stood there for another 30 minutes so now an hour since I ordered. Until another lady asked me if ide been helped and I said yes they said my order wasn't up yet. She said oh we only have 1 Togo order and it's been sitting here the whole time. So at this point they have wasted 45 minutes of my time and I get home my food is cold my bread is burnt my steak is overcooked. Pretty 180 from the last experience I had here which was great.
