Tina is amazing! She takes care of her clients like they are family. Every time I go I feel so pampered; from the fresh espressos to the glorious head massages. She charges very fair prices and is quick, yet thorough. I love the convenience of online booking, and she speaks great english. Highly recommend!
I really, really wanted to like this salon and make it my 'usual' place as I am about to move to Brussels permanently. The prices are reasonable, it has good reviews, and the hairdresser, Tina, is truly lovely. But her colouring technique was simply poor and sub-par on the day I got my highlights.
I've had highlights for a decade and I never felt so disappointed. As soon as I came home and pulled my hair in a ponytail, I noticed many issues with it:
1) The highlights were thick and 'stripey', giving me an inelegant tiger-like look (I guess that's a matter of taste but it was surprising after asking for highlights that would look natural and blend in with the rest of my hair)
2) The highlights were not spread equally across the head, with many more highlights made on one side than another, leaving me with an unbalanced colouring (imagine one side being much lighter than the other).
3) The colour wasn't applied correctly along the hair, and I was left with big locks of hair that had been coloured only for 1/3 or 2/3 of their length (imagine the same lock of hair with two different colours, light on top and darker on the bottom)
3) The colour wasn't applied correctly at the roots, and on the very same day, I looked like I already had regrowths.
Of course, everyone can have a bad day. It was 2 days before NYE and my appointment was at 5 pm. Tina's family had just travelled from abroad and was waiting for her at home, and her phone wouldn't stop ringing. She also had to ask another client to come back 30 minutes later as she wasn't done with me. I completely understand that she may not have been as focused as usual in these difficult conditions. However, I am truly disappointed that I never received a response to my email politely asking for her opinion on how to fix the issue (it has been nearly a month now).
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I selected this salon based on the glowing feedback from other customers, so it is only fair I share my experience for others to consider before getting highlights here.
Highly recommended! My hair was really demaged and colorless and Tina did a great job. She coloured and cut my hair, totally refreshed it and the customer service (root massage and coffe;) is perfect:)
I've been looking for a good hair salon for a long time. I finally found it! Tina was absolutely wonderful and the haircut was exactly what I wanted. I will be back. 100% recommended.
I have not set foot in a hair salon in years after a lifetime of bad experiences... I have thick dark hair and most hairdressers don’t know how to deal with it, refuse to do what I ask for and do what they want and/or are comfortable with which has never been what I wanted so for over 15 years I have been asking for highlights and getting anything but.
I decided to visit Tina after reading the great reviews (all rightly deserved!) and I have never been happier. Seriously, I left her salon looking and feeling like a movie star!
Tina is excellent: her eye for colour is unparalleled, her “savoir faire” sublime, her professionalism is unique and her advice priceless . The ambience is really nice: Tina is very warm and friendly and she makes you feel at home right away plus, she really listens to you. Now, I finally got the highlights I always wanted and they look great. Not only that, I also got a beautiful layered haircut while managing to keep my hair long. I basically got what I wanted but better (which had never happened to me before) and all this happened in such a nice atmosphere that I can not recommend Tina enough.
After years of searching and bad experiences, I have finally found a hairdresser in Belgium that can handle my thicker and darker hair! Tina is lovely and really knows her trade! I usually go blonde and for some reason whenever I used to go to a hairdresser in Belgium they would either not know how to colour it or tell me that they would not do it and tell me to do something else with my hair. But, Tina really took the time and made this awesome transformation!
I haven’t been to the hairdresser for a while because of many bad experiences, I chose this one since the reviews were good and liked the before and after pictures. I’m so happy I discovered this salon, Tina is lovely and took such good care of me. I love my haircut and I will definitely come back !
One of the few hairdressers in Brussels that can give you a natural/cool blond tone.
I get baby highlights and a cut here regularly and I'm always super satisfied with result.
Absolutely recommend!
