If you are having a MEAT Craving this is the place for you!
You walk in and go to a line to pick out your desired meat/meal. Then AFTER getting your meal you find an open table. Reminds me of school lunch.
We were there on a Sunday afternoon. Looks like a lot of after church people enjoy coming here.
The children I saw looked happy to be here. They do have a 12 and under menu posted.
Most individual meals with a beverage will cost about $20 a person or more.
The employees were nice the restaurant looked old with stains on the old carpet. The food was edible. The hero of my meal was the Orange Fanta from the soda machine. Tje Mac and cheese was soso. The green beans were bland and the Cole slaw was the best of the 3 sides we choose.
The food was good it didn’t disappoint but also didn’t go above expectations. Definitely worth the try
The chicken and spicy sausage were great. The cold slaw was neither sweet or vinegar based, and I had trouble figuring out the flavor they were going for... paste? Pinto beans were cooked well but were way under seasoned. There are two kinds of brisket served in Texas, moist and lean. If you like lean then you'll like their brisket. It was too dry for me. I would return for the chicken and sausage if I were passing through again.
One of the most overdone briskets I have ever had. Smoke ring was present but holy cannoli, the slices we received with our order was so dry and overcooked that both my wife and I gave the portion to our dog. Guess I’ll stick to my own smoking skills and plan ahead so I’ll know I’m sure to get a perfectly cooked brisket.
For the price you pay at Buster’s, this was very disappointing.
Do you like tender, flavor packed meat? Then go here. You won’t be disappointed.
My family and I had eaten here, we had the chicken, sausage with sides of mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, fries, cole slaw, bread and potato salad.
The chicken was dried out, the bread was hard, the potato salad had the most overpowering taste of pickles and vinegar it nearly ruined the whole meal. Even my kids thought the Mac and cheese at KFC is better. The fries and the mashed potatoes were the best part.
After having been recommended to try it out, I was in awe of the decor and the arrangement of the lobby. It was very festive and homey.
The "lean" brisket is so good and they have the best sweet BBQ sauce I have ever tasted, they have a bar with gambling and liquor! Great value for your money when it comes to smoked meats Buster's BBQ is the place you want to go!
