We walked down to this little beach side place and enjoyed our experience. The wife got shrimp while I got a cheeseburger of all things.
The shrimp were lightly breaded and were very good - I liberated a few from the wife. The fries were fresh and seasoned nicely.
My burger was nicely cooked and seasoned. The condiments were not overbearing and the lettuce fresh.
No complaints: the wife did not like the coleslaw but it was a matter of taste and not that it was bad. Just not the style she liked. I was considerate and finished it for her so it would not sit there looking at her with reproach.
When you are in North Myrtle Beach - OD area- definitely visit Buoys on the Boulevard. The food is excellent, the atmosphere delightful, plenty of seating area inside and outside. Highly recommend this for food and drinks. Spicy Margarita recommended
Delicious seafood and bar food at very reasonable prices with awesome cocktails and live music. Totally felt taken care of by wait staff and had fun sitting in the covered outside area. Love that they had games on the table to play. Every table has a different painted saying or theme.
Food. I ordered Oceanside Flounder two piece with fries and hush puppies. This was a slow Tuesday around 400 pm.
Fried fish was very nice, large pieces with light breading. Fish tasted very well. One side had black skin on it.... not my favorite I picked it off. Fries were soggy. Hush puppies was like a golf ball.... hard.
The fish and fries went from the deep fryer straight to tin plate without letting grease drop off, I had 1/8 of inch of grease on top of paper which was lined in tin plate. Fish was soggy as well.
For the 22.00 cost of the Oceanside Flounder.
I don't like greasy soggy fish and fries. It sure messed my stomach up. I would have return it. But the server that waited on us outside in back brought food and never came back until we were done.
I don't recommend any fried items off menu unless you specify no grease lol or you to will have stomach issues.
It just seemed the cook rush it to much and never took the time to let grease run off. Most places pour fries into a fries pan to let grease drip through same for fish.
My next visits I will tell sever to lay several paper towels in my tin then place food on top to soak up the motor oil.
Was a great place to go for seafood and drinks! The food was great! Looks like a fun place to hangout as well if it is raining and right on the beach!
Came in and ordered food to go. The portions where extremely small and the food was overcooked. My family spent almost 80 and got basically appetizers. The sr gets where very nice. I am disappointed and recommend you check for before leaving to make sure you are happy. I also realized I overpaid after I left. This is the size of hush puppies, sushi and crab legs
We were in North Myrtle Beach for a baseball tournament. We made reservations at Bouys on the boulevard for 26 people. We made them for 4:30 to try and beat the crowd,
Hannah was our waitress and she did a great job!
The food was some of the best seafood I have ever had.
We ordered the trio appetizer which was grouper bites, fried okra and shrimp covered in a special sauce with pepper rings. We also ordered the loaded fries which was amazing.
Both appetizers did not disappoint when it came out, both appetizers were hot and fresh.
We ordered the shrimp boil and it was fabulous!
Everything we ordered was fantastic, fresh and hot!
Took about 30 minutes to be seated, which was fine as we could tell it was a popular restaurant. However when we were seated it took a while for our order to be taken and the food came out at different times at our table. Our waiter took a shot on his break, pop off I guess! Had to ask for multiple refills on drinks. Food was yummy though! Would go again at a less busy time (not after 6/7pm until closing)
