Stopped by during a trip with some friends and thoroughly enjoyed the food here. Service wasn't necessarily the best but the food definitely made up for it. Prices were relatively good as well. Ironically that's how you know a great Nigerian restaurant, the food is top tier but service not so much. Will definitely return back if I'm in town again.
I was looking forward to trying this and I was disappointed. First off, they gave me burnt jollof rice! As soon as I opened the container you can smell it was burnt. I was shocked I received burnt food. Then the food was very oily and bland. I ordered meat stew, croaker fish stew, and mixed okra. The smoked meat and okra were good, but 1 of the meats, I couldn't even eat! It was tough and when I was able to get a bite, it took forever to chew. Won't order from here again.
We dined in and also ordered takeout. The service was not too great as it could be better, but the food was very delicious.
The owner is there and acknowledged us. The restaurant is very popular in Atlanta I believe. However, it has the potential to become a great restaurant capable of representing the Nigerian and West African Cuisine.
This is very oily & very spicy. I have a go to spot Boniks which I go to & let’s just say I should have stuck with my regular place. When ordering assorted meats I am use to shaki, beef, ponmo & cowfoot for NOMORE than $24. This egusi soup on had two pieces of meats. Not worth the price.
I eat this and it's normally good. My first time coming today and I paid 24 dollars for a tray of oil I was really disappointed and this is egusi soup
I get the same thing EVERYTIME I go Egusi/fufu and Croaker and it Hits the same Everytime! Consistently is key! They are friendly and the portion sizes are good as well I definitely recommend!
Not only was the food delicious but the service was just as great. The staff worked well together to see that we were properly accommodated and well taken care of.
The restaurant provides plenty of space for social distancing, which was nice for dining in. The owner also stopped by our table to make sure everything was just so, chatting a bit helped to personalize the experience.
The layout made for a nice restaurant with the option for an evening lounge.
We had our fill of fish & plantains...with leftovers to enjoy it again at home.
I would absolutely visit again.
It’s really spicy by it being my first time I would recommend on buying it again. I love it.
