Really underwhelmed with both their customer service and the quality of the work. Went on three separate occasions and was underwhelmed each time. Initially went to have my stock repaired, which was done in decent time but with poor welds as seen in the photos. Went back, not knocking the quality of the work to have the stock changed out for a more free flowing unit. When that was done took the car off their property to realize the fitment of the mufflers had changed dramatically. I returned to have it corrected which took two hours longer than I had been quoted with both the upgraded mufflers cut up, welded and completely mismatched. I was told they would be uniform and they're far from it.
Given their reputation I expected far more. I wouldn't go back and would recommend taking your money elsewhere.
I originally used Bud's Muffler a year ago to install a Flowmaster Super 10. I needed more work done but they were busy and booked up which is understandable, so I ended up using another exhaust shop. Upon inspection, it turns out that the muffler Bud's installed wasn't even a Flowmaster.... It was a cheap Chinese knock-off. Attached are the pics of the muffler I had the other shop remove as well as what a Super 10 is supposed to look like. All Flowmaster are clearly marked. The one Bud's Muffler installed does not. Yet, I was charged the "Flowmaster" price. This review will be posted as many places as I can.
Chuck and the team here were amazing. They worked with my insurance, we’re realistic about timelines and costs, and did an excellent job with replacing my catalytic converter. Great customer service and quick, efficient work. Thanks for making a bummer situation smooth.
These guys kept my vehicle for 2 plus weeks and charged me $2k for a new cat and then $500 for a joke of a cage around my catalytic converter. Looks like they spent about 10 mins on it. Converter can still be removed. Have to hire another welder to finish their job. Guess they have too much work to care. This review is for chucks muffler which buds muffler redirects everyone to.
On a recent work trip into the forest service, the exhaust system on my truck broke in a couple of areas. . . .the muffler and tailpipe. . . .primarily due to the rough roads and general age of the truck. . . .near 250,000 miles.
They were able to help me out. . . .normally they need someone to simply drop off their vehicle and they will attend to it based on the workload of that day. I told Chuck that I live about 65 miles from them, so he slotted me in on a day that he knew he could start working on my truck soon after they would open in the morning, while I waited.
Sure enough, I showed up first thing in the morning and as promised, they pulled a vehicle off a lift that they had just finished and put my truck in the air. Two techs, Raymond and Kelly took a look at the situation along with the services writer, Keith and discussed two options with me. I picked an option and Raymond got to work. They understood that this truck sees severe duty and the system needs to withstand terrible roads.
While replacing portions of the system, they also noticed that the previous owner had some work completed, but neglected to support the exhaust system near the downpipe after the exhaust brake. Raymond then fabricated a proper mount to support the weight and stress the exhaust would cause on that downpipe to prevent future damage that without, it would definitely be a factor in the future.
Additionally, the final price was less than what they quoted me, as Raymond sifted through some of the unused parts that they had from other repairs and was able to craft my new exhaust from some of leftover stainless steel parts.
I want to thank them for not only working with me to slide me into a work slot so I could wait, but also doing me a kind and fixing what was not done correctly by the previous owner.

Came here needing to get my catalytic converter changed. Everyone here took care of me, was very transparent about pricing, and got my car back to me within 2 days. Loved the service here, will definitely come back.
These guys are very good with exhaust and are very knowledgeable. If you need any kind of work done custom or store bought, they will do you a solid. I took a Tundra and to them that had a recurring exhaust rattle, Toyota couldn't fix it after x6 attempts. Took it to these guys and 50$ later they welded the whole exhaust system, the way it should have been, and it was never an issue. They're prices on exhaust systems for my '08 Tahoe have been as good as the web and they get stuff done quickly and professionally.
Got recommended to Buds Muffler from a good friend Justin at Bakers Garage, I’m definitely glad i did! Got a estimate over the phone and headed there on the most reasonable day. Took about 3 hours for the work to be done and am very impressed with it. I needed some special work with my exhaust as in it being tucked up out of the way for ground clearance, they suggested the best size piping for my car and how they would recommend goin about it and I’m glad i listened To what they said. Even while i was there listening to how they treated customers was awesome they made them feel reinsured their car was going to get worked on properly. Thanks for recommending me Bakers Garage, and a huge thank you to Buds Muffler for getting the job done right the first time!
