We're from Seattle towing a travel trailer from Mt. Rushmore to Yellowstone. Needless to say, both far from home and our comfort zone. Our check engine came on just before Buffalo WY and then started flashing, non stop. We found Bud's Auto Repair on Google and headed straight there. Ken & his team were awesome! Even though they had a shop full of cars to work on, Ken had a tech look at our tow vehicle within a half hour. Literally 20 minutes later, they had diagnosed our problem, made the necessary repairs and had us headed back on the road! To be honest, I was desperate, I would have paid just about anything to be back on our vacation. Ken could have taken advantage and up charged for the repair. HE DID NOT. The price we paid was extremely fair. Thank you Ken & Bud's Auto Repair for taking such great care of us!!!
Been bringing all our family vehicles here since we moved to the area in 2017. They are amazing, never try to sell you anything you don’t need and can trust when they make a recommendation. I don’t know if there’s a cheaper mechanic in Gillette all I know is I’ve never brought a vehicle back for the same issue. They just fix it right the first time.
Bud and Ken are always efficient, pleasant to work with, prompt, inform you of all issues (including repairs you may not be aware of) and provide you with information to make the best decisions for you. I feel comfortable sending my wife and children to work with them. I highly recommend working with them on your vehicle.
They deserve the awesome ratings they get. If you have car trouble in NE Wyoming, these are the people to take it to! Honest. Fast. Great value. You feel they know what customer service really means by the way they treat you. I'm impressed particularly because they worked me in on short notice (don't normally do that (rude) but a family vacation was days away) even though they were extremely busy already. I've only lived in the area a short while but I already know where I'll go first if I have any car troubles in the future!
I'm working in Gillette and had a serious issue with my truck. Everywhere I checked I wouldn't be able to even look at it for at least a week. A contractor I work with recommended Bud's Auto Repair. I went in and he said to leave it and maybe they'd be able to look at it that day. I got a call approximately 5 hrs later and it was done. Professional & courteous!!!!! Very fair pricing. I would highly recommend them!
Bud and his crew have worked on multiple of my vehicles, multiples times. I come back because they are honest, their rates are fare, and they do a great job.

The shop was super busy but Ken and Sonny were able to get the parts and do the repair so she could get back on the road. She felt totally comfortable working with them and is so grateful they were there to help. Thank you, thank you for taking such good care of your customers.
Our rental car started acting up because of a cold snap on our cross country road trip. Bud’s was able to see us immediately and get us up and running in no time and at a great price.
They were incredibly friendly and walked us through everything so we understood what the problem was.
