You go for the experience more than the food.
It's important to know this is a place to bring large parties (or at least 3+ ppl). If you're a party of 2, you'll *need* to agree upon a single entree due to the cost and the large family-sized portions. ...or else you'll be spending over $100 just on 2 entrees and enough to feed 4+ ppl.
The above isn't a complaint, my real complaint is that it's just "good". There's really no flair to the food once it arrives and the quality sits only barely above Olive Garden. Still, I'd go here again with a large group for the whimsy of the atmosphere and for the service (very friendly). I like that it's one of those places you can walk in wearing jeans or dressed up a bit and you'd fit in either way. If you have a large family/group who can agree on sharing a couple dishes & who enjoys retro culture, you might forgive the food for the fun like I did.
Coming here for years, and every time it's never a letdown. When they let you do whatever you need to do with your family and take care of you are a high roller. Portions are huge. Remember that, drinks are strong, and the food is always good. One of the best in the nation. And the staff gives you the best time every time.
Finally went to Buca di Beppo after realizing that the outrageous menu prices were prices to share with 3 or 6 people. Not sure why they chose to be so ambiguous with this menu setting. So, the place is really nice, the service was really good, but the food could have been better. The chicken parmigiana had no salt at all and the chicken crust was a bit burnt and I got a part with some nerves. The nice thing is that you can choose the side for it. I had the Alfredo noodles instead of spaghetti with marinara. The tiramisu for dessert was huge and it was good, a kid friendly version because not sure if it had alcohol. In a few words, a nice place to go out to eat with fair prices, nice atmosphere and good service.
We had an amazing experience! Server was on point! Food and portions are AMAZING! The manager on duty stopped by just to make sure we were enjoying everything! This is a must stop for a large hungry group! Really impressive!
If you are leaving or arriving at the Excalibur via the shopping center, this restaurant is a good place to stop at. The servers at the restaurant are nice and attentive to your table. The food was good and delivered pretty fast as well. Most of their portions are pretty big so make sure to bring an appetite before you arrive. Will be back to try other items on the menu.
Our server Paula is coolest American we have met so far. She somehow knew what we wanted without us saying which was awesome. This is a great restaurant with super excellent service.
This restaurant does what I would call family portion with the small easily feeding two people. We had the stuffed chicken with garlic bread and a bottle of apothic red wine. The total cost of that not including a tip came to $91.04 which I thought was reasonable. Have added photos of the food. Our waiter Jon was very good he explained the whole thing very well. Food was good and the service was fine. The atmosphere was a little low though but did not stop us enjoying our food.
I gotta say,my first visit to this location was very satisfying. Our server Frank was excellent. The food was hot, fresh and delicious.
