I was excited to try this place. From the looks of the reviews it sound promising. Maybe I came in on an off day but the food was cold and not edible.
I ordered the burrito bowl with grilled chicken. The chicken was flavorless and cold. The rice was mushy and over cooked and the topping made the bowl even cooler. It's a shame because i really wanted to like this place. I loved the uniqueness of it but its a no for me right now.
Maybe i will give it another try but I won't be rushing back. I will stick with Chipotle for now.
We were very excited to try this place and ordered delivery. Chose the made your own nachos with shredded chicken, pico, queso, house salsa, jalapeños nd added fajita veggies. The veggies were raw…maybe I missed that in the menu. There was a huge portion of shredded chicken. Definitely did not skimp out on the protein and it was tasty!
All in all, not the greatest meal….even for a late night run. I’m willing to give it a try again since sometimes delivery can absolutely change the experience. It might take some convincing to get The Boss to agree though.
I had heard really good things about this place so I’m hoping this meal is just a one off.
They have some wild takes on traditional Tex mex. Love the mixing of BBQ sauce into the food. Queso is amazing … and being able to have curly fries with my burrito - awesome
Tried Bubbakoo’s for the first time last week based on a friend’s recommendation and I was a little disappointed. I ordered the chipotle creama burrito with barbacoa. Tasted a little bland and when I bit into it there was mostly rice, beans, and pico de gallo. It took a few more bites to finally find some meat. I know I can add extra meat but I was hoping there’d be some to start out with for $17+ after taxes. If you add extra meat you’re sitting at $22+ for a really small burrito that’s barely filling. For that kind of money there’s a lot of other options that offer some value and won’t leave you hungry.
I really wanted to like this place more but the food was a let down and there’s no value for the money. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant is really clean and nice (it is brand new after all) but that’s not gonna cut it when I’m hungry and need something substantial to eat.
We have gotten take out from here several times since they opened and it has been excellent every time! We’re so excited to have a place with consistently good food so close to us. Although another chain is the last thing Owings Mills needs, this one has been a pleasant surprise. If you like taco salads, you have to try the salad with the tostada shell…probably the best I’ve ever had!
We ordered the nachos and a spicy chicken burrito!! Highly recommend going here. Food was flavorful, spicy, and portions were a good size. The nachos were out of this world, love that you can customize your toppings. Place was clean and staff was friendly.
Make sure to check your order if ordering online. I picked up a chicken burrito bowl that was nothing but vegetables and rice. I’m extremely disappointed given the positive reviews.
I'd been so excited to try this place, but first time was NOT the charm. Ordered a steak bowl which was missing two requested toppings and cold in spite of the only cold ingredient being sour cream (lettuce missing). My friend had the tostada salad which was good and correct, and the shell was remarkably non-greasy. Still cold, though, and I waited on the food, it did not wait on me. Queso and house salsa were both pretty good. Staff were polite and friendly. I'll definitely give it a second chance - I want so badly to love the place! - and hopefully will be able to increase my rating.
