Absolutely wonderful food, service and staff! Jerry the bartender is fantastic. Nicole our server was so cute and fun and challenged us with a ton of Forest Gump trivia. Highly recommend this location.
The first time we went to Bubba Gump was in New Orleans about 10 years ago and my daughter had it on her bucket list to go while in Daytona, and it was awesome. We had the shrimp ceviche, the shrimp po boy, and the shrimp with the crab and lobster. All were amazing!
You normally don’t expect the food to be good at a themed restaurant but their food was so delicious! My favorite was the seafood hush puppies, I couldn’t have enough of it! All the fried shrimps were very tasty and the clam chowder was bomb too, we enjoyed our time there a lot!
It was very interesting that they had flip signs “run Forrest run” & “stop Forrest stop”, cool way to get your waiter’s attention!
Our waitress was super friendly and the place is just like all the other locations, a really nostalgic feeling. Food was excellent and timely. Had a great time.
We got two drinks and both got a kinda shrimp sampler on the diner menu they were absolutely delicious!!! The drinks on the other hand are insane expensive for very small drinks that have almost no alcohol on them... for a very hot day we were looking forward to some cold drinks .. I get excited about all the bubba gumps drinks just because you get to keep the really Kool glasses or shakers!!!! We had an issue with one drink being warm and then my bf would not stop with complaints so they brought us two free ones and 4 suvanier cups!!! I was super happy with everything!!! The manager was super nice!!! We had a great dinner even though we were there very late it was such a hot day it was very nice to be in air conditioned somewhat fine dining!!!
This is the worst Shrimp New Orleans I've ever had! My rice tasted scorched. I out the sauce on it and the sauce had a funny taste. My shrimp tasted dried out and just weird. Can't even describe the taste. I also got what was supposed to be Cajun shrimp. It was nasty and dry. No Cajun whatsoever. I wasted 44.00. I could not eat it. I called to request to bring it back and get a refund but they never answered the phone. Didn't want to waste another dime for parking. It pains me to leave this review as this is my favorite place to eat out when we visit. This was so disappointing! The only good thing about this order was the bartender. Dsis it would be ready at 5:15 I arrived at 5:10 so I have no idea what the issue was with the taste. I literally gaged trying to eat it. ????
I'm here in the off-season but, gumbo was delicious, but it wasn't hot enough (temp. wise). The staff took care of it. Ended up getting the strawberry shortcake dessert (amazing). All the employees were great.
I really don't mean to make this rating seem bad and I apologize if it comes off as such. My wife and I were given some gift cards, and we thought it'd be a pleasant evening, but this is located right next to an event stage, and we'd happened upon it on a busy day. There was an hour wait time so we walled on the beach and it was so lovely. Our waitress was awesome and she stopped by every so often.
However the price of this place and the quality of the food vs the price is a joke.
For a cheaper amount we could've gone over to another place with better quality. The sole reason this place is standing is because of tourism, and even then, if they'd only known, they could do better by driving just 10 mins away. If you are reading this and you're a tourist then do yourself a favor and go to Brickyard Lounge and Grill, get a delicious burger and a brew, then go enjoy the ocean.
