So this was our first time visiting and it was nice. The street corn was amazing. It's called something else but it was wonderful!
I got the chicken burrito with cheese on the top and it was good. I should've got something else but I wanted to get something different from my usual thing.
The love bug got a kids chicken quesadilla and fries and it was delicious and fresh. Husband got a margarita and said it was top tier as he's a drinker and just one had him ready to nap.
Overall it was a nice experience and I'd go back.
The food tastes about how one would expect food to taste at a place called Bubba Garcia's. It's as bland as bland can be but it's wrapped in a tortilla so they call it Mexican. They have the strangest breakfast burrito I've ever seen in my life. I don't know who thought it would work, but they thought wrong. Avocado and cheese sauce do not go with egg and potatoes. But the service was the worst part. First, I ordered the breakfast burrito and received a single taco. Now, I worked on food service for years. I know mistakes are made and I'm always super friendly to everyone. I called the server over and in a friendly voice asked "is this the breakfast burrito?" He didn't apologize. He just sighed, rolled his eyes, and picked up the plate. Then before we were finished with our meal he dropped the check off and said he was leaving. We continued eating our meal. He came back a while later clearly agitated that we hadn't paid yet. He should have explained to me I was supposed to scan the bill with my phone. I kept waiting for him to come back so I could pay so when he came over angry it was pretty rude. I had never eaten there before and I certainly never will again. The only thing I feel a little badly about is as we were leaving we were talking about what truly was our worst Mexican food experience as I was saying the words "That was the worst" the bartender looked over and said thank you, goodbye! And I worry he thought I was talking about their food. While this place was not at all the best Mexican food I've ever had and I won't go back because of the service it was far from the worst I've ever had. I even still left the terrible server an okay tip. That's the kind of person I am.
This Mexican restaurant is on point. Tacos were phenomenal, the state quesadilla was one of the best quesadillas I've ever had. The fajitas were cooked perfectly vegetables weren't overdone. Great restaurant to go to when you're in Brunswick.
Great portion sizes, and good flavor. Service was good, and the atmosphere is great. They need some work on the margaritas.
TLDR; Meh. Our experience here was disappointing. I'm not sure we'll go back. We'd been excited for a place to drink margaritas and watch football! Our server was nice and tried to fix our margaritas, but you can't fix something that isn't made correctly. Margaritas do not contain orange juice (you can see how orange it is in the photo). Our server told us that the margaritas were made in a big batch that the bartender just pours from. The restaurant was not busy enough to necessitate that kind of laziness. The rice was great--perfectly cooked and seasoned. The rest of the food was okay--the carnitas burrito my husband ordered was tasty but super greasy like they hadn't drained the carnitas. I ordered carnitas enchiladas, but I believe I was given ground beef. Our ticket said chorizo, but the enchiladas meat was not spicy.
This place was the location for a watch party I attended recently. The service was great, eventhough we had a large party. The food was delicious!
My friend and I decided to visit Bubbas for the first time and we grab some Margs, the Margaritas were "ok" and the atmosphere was also very pleasant. However, the bathrooms smelled degusting. As if someone had thrown up and it was never cleaned up.
My daughter and I came out for our daddy daughter date to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Our waitress, Emerald, is amazing. She has an amazing and very personal attitude! Her smile is contagious and she enhanced the overall experience of our evening. Thank you Emerald for being our waitress. Well look forward to the next time.
