My family and I hired Bub’s BBQ to cater to my sister and brother-in-law’s Jack & Jill last weekend for roughly 200 guests.
We were delighted with the communication during the original order and when the food was delivered to the venue last Saturday.
My sister wanted an old-fashioned BBQ served at the party. And they delivered.
From the different options of smoked meats to the baked beans and cornbread, everything was perfect.
Aside from the food and communication, though, our family and I appreciated the kind gestures and hard work their staff provided in helping make that night a success.
That said, we highly recommend calling Bub’s BBQ for your next party — you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Since the recent change of hands the food is HORRIBLE. Dry Brisket, dry and cold ribs, day old ice cold potatoes. Everything was nasty and a total rip off. I am so upset that I just lost $66 dollars to what tastes like week old leftovers. Bub's Bar-b-q how do you fix this issue? I left feeling like I was going to throw up.

Bub’s is the kind of place where you forget to take a picture before digging in. It’s very good, which is shocking for the North. The self-serve sides area is my favorite part - they have a wide range of sides and of the ones I have tried, they are all good.
Bubs has always been no frills. No frills does not turn me off. This place has changed drastically. No more soup. The soup was always so great. The food in general. Terrible. The sides? No more fries , no more homemade sides. Just dump a jar of pickled veggies in the bin.
Everything was empty. Was it busy? hell no. Dead. I ordered a fried fish sandwich. It used to be great. This time…. Fried fish on bread. No lettuce, no tomatoes, no cheese. Dry bread with fried fish on a flimsy paper plate.
The service…. We eat out a lot and are big tippers. This gal….. we must have been bothering her. No smile no emotion, no thanks. She is capable because she was then socializing with “ the cook” and laughing with him.
The cook… must be a mechanic by day. Hands filthy. Handling food then playing on his phone, then cleaning dishes. All over with those filthy hands.
I am by no means a high maintenance girl. I can live in a tent, and survive in the woods. This place…. What happened to it?
Look, for a place in the middle of nowhere (no offense to the area as it’s beautiful country side) the service is friendly, the place is small inside but it has space outside for seating.
The food though, it’s what gives the 4 star, we had French fries and beans for side, and we had the brisket and roasted chicken. The sides were very good and the meat we all agreed it could taste better. It’s by no means bad it juts could be more flavorful m. It feels like what gives it flavor is sauce and the flavor of barbecue shouldn’t come from sauce but the meat instead.
Overall, a satisfying experience and we’d recommend it. Come support a local

Brisket, Cajun grilled shrimp, potato salad... where to start. Bub’s been around for a while and it delivers.

WOW!! This may be the BEST smokehouse bbq I’ve had!! The lovely young girl behind the counter was super nice, and suggested the beef rib since it was “Beef Rib Saturday!!” So I ordered it.. AND OMG, it’s one of, if not THE best thing I’ve ever eaten!!! It was juicy, tender, super flavorful and enormous!!! .. I could barely eat 1/3 of it. Run, don’t walk to Bubs!! ! Also, their all you can eat side items are homemade and super delicious as well!! My fiancé wanted the recipe for their corn salad, and potato salad.. I could’ve eaten their rice and beans all day!!! Can’t wait to go back to try the smoked wings, who doesn’t like smoked maple bacon wings!! I heard they’re amazing too!
Solid 4 or 4.5 star. The atmosphere isn’t the best, but the main dishes make up for it. The sides are good, and the potato crisps are heavenly if you eat them within 30 minutes of them being made. Otherwise, they aren’t as good but the sides are buffet style. The Kielbasa Link sausages are incredible, but ribs are kind of dry, so add bbq sauce. Price was pretty reasonable, would recommend going here.
