During our first ever visit to Pittsburgh, we were very surprised how much the downtown did not seem equipped to handle the breakfast crowd. Over a few days, we kept seeing the Jamba Juice sign and our kids really wanted to check it out, mostly for the smoothies. On our last morning in the city, we went. Again, it was 9am and it seemed like they were ill-prepared for people wanting breakfast. The smoothie machine was broken, napkins were hard to find, the bagel shelves for half empty and even though it was pretty empty, the staff seemed slammed and exhausted. To be fair to them there were only 2 people. The bagels were pretty good, but my breakfast sandwich was a bit of a hot mess. Maybe a storm of customers just left cause that is how the place looked. I am very curious if this is the whole downtown as it wasn't the only place that seemed under staffed and not really ready for customers.
I ordered a large iced black coffee and a pastrami and Swiss everything bagel. I ended up with a sweet iced tea tasting coffee and this wheat bagel with pastrami and Swiss.
None of it is fresh and it is very greasy. I have to head to the airport so no way to exchange.
Food was great, but the place seemed understaffed. The crew were polite and professional, but there were 3 employees trying to help a constantly filled lobby ordering and waiting on food. After paying for my order, it took about 20 minutes to get my drink, and then another 5-10 minutes on top of that to get my two bagels. Avoid if you're in a hurry.
Came here at 9am on a Sunday, we were told by one employee that they were selling Jamba - and told by another that they were not. The place was busy, but it was clear the guy behind the cash register wasn’t wanting to make smoothies because it was busy. They shouldn’t advertise smoothies if they aren’t willing to sell them.
Great tasting plain toasted Bagel, with bacon scallion cream cheese. John & his staff are friendly and provide great service.
Pathetic. Bagels aren’t made fresh. Picked up 20 minutes after placing order and bagels were cold. Site/app told me 15-20 minutes because bagels are prepared fresh… Order was left sitting out for anyone to take. Ordered hash browns and got chips. Prepared wrong bagel when I paid extra for a specific bagel. Ordered what appeared to be fresh orange juice and got Simply. Good for when you’re desperate. Terrible all around. Wonderfully terrible job.
Bagel was alright! Didnt mind the unfortunate thing is that there was no where to sit I ordered a berry protein shake and a brisket bagel and it was pretty good! It's an alright place to get a quick breakfast. I had a more positive experience compared to the other reviews and I would hope it wasnt a fluke
Bagels were pretty badly put together. The bun was cold and hard. Definitely not the best Bruegger's chain I've been to.
