This bridge is a great bridge. It connects one side to the other in which case makes this bridge a vital part to all our lives, our children's lives and our children's children's lives. We should all appreciate everything this bridge stands for and never forget to admire the views.
This beautiful bridge was built anew and re-opened in October 2015. It has several bronze medallions sporting Tlingit moieties Eagle and Raven standing upon a rock that represents the Alaska Native Brotherhood designed by Roy Peratrovich Jr. Circa 1965. On clear days, it offers great views of the Juneau Icefield, Mendenhall Glacier and Mendenhall River. The Brotherhood Bridge is so named in honor of the Alaska Native Brotherhood (1912) which, together with the Alaska Native Sisterhood, advocated for Alaska Natives' civil rights (Elizabeth Peratrovich--Alaskan civil rights pioneer).
good views, love hanging out here, except too many crackheads hang around the parking lot and sleep there lately. scared to go back.
My kids and my husband LOVE this place. I don't eat much for sweets but, the employees are really nice.
Superb and iconic spot for glacier view in Juneau, especially when the fireweed are in bloom in the summer.
