Best WLM Reviews
First, let me say I do not like to give poor reviews. We ordered our food for pick up. When we got in the car, I told my husband that the bag was offly light for $60 worth of food. We get home and have 2 tiny little tacos and 1 barira in each container (3), with very little ingredients inside and no sides or anything with it. We were disappointed that we had so little food. You can't tell the low amount in the picture. My daughter had to cook some homemade tacos for dad because he was still hungry. Last year, this was not the case. They gave more. The tacos were tasty but salty. All 3 of us were very disappointed. We could have paid $20 at Taco Bell, except I don't eat there.
We had the Seafood Birria (crab and shrimp), which seems like a fried taco that you dip into a sauce, fries, and Rum Punch. I want to say the service was top-notch. The waitress had suggestions for the menu, gave us feedback on our questions, checked on us the right amount of times, and had a very pleasant attitude. When going to a taco place, we thought it was like a typical tex-mex restaurant where they give you chips and salsa, pushes margaritas, and a vast menu selection. You won't find that here. They don't offer chips (although they did give everyone in the place snickers bars), margaritas were not on the drink menu (although I'm sure they could make one if asked), we had to ask for water, napkins, and silverware. The Birria was a bit salty and the dip didn't offer any taste. The Rum Punch was low on the alcohol but it was tasty. Seems their alcohol is based on what's in stock (they only had 2 tequilas). Although this visit didn't impress, I will try again bc the service was really good, atmosphere seemed fun, and I'm hoping the saltiness of the food was an anomaly.
UPDATE: tried again. The service is still good. We had their chicken wings which were very tasty. The wings that were supposed to be hot were not (I think mango habenero - but not sure). Still not a fan of the tacos. We had chicken this time and my husband wasn't a fan either. But its a nice hangout spot for some good wings and drinks.
Visited today with my husband and cousin, the staff was friendly and polite. I was even given a free candy bar :) We ordered our food to go and waited for it in one of the booths. I felt the wait time was a little bit longer than it should’ve been but I wasn’t in a rush. When our order finally came out, I realized it was made incorrectly (I asked for tacos without all the toppings for my picky son). Thankfully they were quick in remaking them. Okay, now for the taste review. I may have higher expectations than my husband and cousin so I’ll use their ratings as well lol. Beef Birria was good (they loved it), it was decent for me and a tiny bit on the sweet side. Seafood Birria was pretty good, I liked it. The BBQ chicken TO ME was lacking seasoning and needed more sauce however my husband enjoyed it. My cousin got the nachos and was not impressed. He didn’t care for the cheese sauce. That said, please try for yourself. Again, I am very picky but I will visit again and try some more things off the menu.
This restaurant was hard to locate at first due to the incorrect placement of the Google location pin. However, once we called and the gentleman who answered the phone helped us find the location we were able to get in and be seated immediately. We ordered the pull pork sandwich with fries and the birria style seafood tacos. We also had the no meat nachos as a starter. Everything was really good and I would definitely recommend going here.
Customer service experience was on point. Waitress was great. Food was absolutely delicious. We had beef tacos and seafood tacos and beef nachos. Food was hot fresh and fast. Prices are about 20 per person. They have a full bar as well. I would highly recommend checking them out. I will definitely be back.
This is my second time back here. They were out of smoked pork. I got the nachos , seafood trio and one chicken taco. They were hot and fresh still tasted great. Sunday evening it was not to busy. Got in got food ate and left. Still like there food. 7 out of 10 stars.
This was my first time at Brotha Man's and I had a pleasant experience. We were greeted as soon as we walked in our waiter Rob didn't waste any time coming over to get our drink order. We had the chicken and seafood birria and some old bay wings. I enjoyed the birrias as it was my first time ever having them. Both the chicken & seafood birrias were very tasty! The wings were perfect! Nicely fried and seasoned to perfection. My Rocky Apple adult beverage was a little too strong but I'm a lightweight! I will definitely go back! Check them out!
I tried to give this place a try and it was just not welcoming at all. The hostess was not hospitable. When I arrived I was not greeted and then was semi dismissed when attempting to place an order and dine in. I was told by the hostess the kitchen was closed despite arriving at 8:50 pm when the establishment closed at 10 pm. When my food arrived it was hot fresh and delicious, but otherwise tainted by the hostile atmosphere. I could not enjoy my meal as I felt rushed to finish when around 9:30 pm the hostess stated she had to leave and wanted me to close out my tab, which I had no problem with, but found it strange the tab was rushed to close before the restaurant closed, again the restaurant closes at 10 pm. As I was finishing up and still had my open food out, the hostess started to clean in the area where I sat. I smelled nothing but cleaning supplies as I tried to savor the last of an otherwise enjoyable meal. I was DISGUSTED! I do not want my nostrils to be filled with cleaning supplies smell as I am trying to eat. I’m not taking the service personally, just know I will not be dining in again. EVER! I’m only giving two stars cause the food (the little food I could enjoy) was good.
So. The main reason I decided to come here was because they were listed as being part of restaurant week in Charles County and because the reviews looked pretty good. Bad move! I asked about the restaurant week special only to be told that's not going on now (even though it starts 13 Jan....today) so I would have to order off the regular menu. I ordered the 3 tacos ( chicken, beef, ribs) and waited almost 30 minutes. I asked for it as a to-go order when i ordered and in all fairness, the young lady told me there were several tickets in front of mine even though the place was far from busy. When I got in the car with my to-go order, there wasn't a napkin/fork/knife in sight. The shells were chewy (and not in a good way) and the meat was salty. And toppings were behind the paper and not on the tacos. Needless to say this was my 1st and last time.
