The food was great. We had the breakfast buffet at 17$. If you have a light eater, do yourself a favor and just order them something from the menu or it won’t work out price wise. All of the food on the bar was fresh and great. I ended up having three plates to make up for those in my party who were full after the first plate :)
Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very nice, with the cabin feel.

We came in from Richmond VA. A bit of a scarey ride over the 211 mountain...but I was able to circumvent that with the awesome directions that got us safely home. We enjoyed our buffet dinner. We loved the berry cobbler...sure it has seeds because ..berries have seeds. Wonderful stop!
This quaint little cabin was perfect for our needs. It is located right in a beautiful babbling brook. Plenty of room, two baths, two bedrooms, kitchen, two sitting areas, near a great restaurant and close to Luray Caverns and Skyland Drive. | The employees were very responsive and attentive to all our needs. We will definitely return for subsequent visits.
This was our second trip to the Brookside Restaurant and loved it. In fact we brought our entire family the second time.
Both trips we had the buffet. The first one was Brunch and the second time it was for Sunday Dinner.
The food that’s on the buffet is amazing, good ole southern home cooking. The fried chicken alone is worth the trip.
The salad bar is also full of fresh produce and home made salads.
The service and staff were very nice. This is a great place to check out and worth the trip.
Cutr little spot nestled at the foothills of the mountain. There are several tiny cabins and a restaurant on the premises. They even have peacocks! We dined in for dinner and opted for the dinner buffet and salad bar. Everything was as expected. You can expect southern style cuisine here. There's an adorable brook behind the restaurant. Next time, we will stay at a cabin and try out the breakfast and report back.
Stopped on a whim for lunch after visiting Luray Caverns and I'm glad we did. The restaurant was clean/cozy, the service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. Everything was hot, fresh, and clearly made to order. It's exactly the kind of spot you'd want to find driving through the mountains.
I have always wanted to see Luray Caverns (incredible experience). We needed a safe and clean place to stay while visiting the Caverns and the Shenandoah National Park Skyland Drive.
I discovered the Brookside Cabins online and booked a cabin for two nights. We were delighted to see the quaint , clean, and comfortable accommodations . Our sitting room looked out over a beautiful babbling brook through large windows giving a great view . This cabin has two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, and lots of sitting area.
The staff for the Cabin rentals and Housekeeping was helpful, caring, and efficient. The nearby restaurant provided an enjoyable eating experience with friendly staff and good food. The cabins are very near the town of Luray which has many other additional good restaurants.
I hope to take other family members to experience the amazing Luray Caverns and hike the numerous trails in the SNP. I will definitely book accommodations at the Brookside Cabins.
Stopped in for lunch on our way to the caverns. The food was delicious and well priced. Great service and very cozy atmosphere!
