The breakfast was great and lots of food. Got my coffee refreshed a few times too. We’re coming back the next time we come to the Chicago area
Broadview Family Diner has quickly become a favorite of mine. Its cozy atmosphere, excellent service, delightful music, and consistently amazing food, like the perfect Mediterranean Omelette with hash browns, make it a standout. The versatile menu caters not only to breakfast but also lunch and dinner, and the weekday and weekend Mimosas specials priced at $2 and $4 add an extra touch. If you’re nearby, I highly suggest trying it out.
Came here before my VA Appt with my wife. Loved the service! I knew it was gonna be good when the picture of the French Toast was on the front of the menu!! And the French Toast didn't disappoint. Wife and I loved the food and it had great portions. The team serving us was on point. Looking forward to going next time.
Went today with my mom husband son and niece, my son for my sons birthday breakfast. My son had on a birthday boy shirt and the staff told him happy birthday. We ordered our food it came out pretty fast, everything was delicious! The kids are 1 and 3 and we’re getting impatient so when we finished eating we were leaving and the staff were coming out with a sweet treat for my sons birthday! They were nice enough to pack it up and let us take it home to enjoy! Thank you!
My thanks go to the cook's in the back, food was very good and served hot to me, the server needs to smile more because remember the public is who makes your money and help keep you in business, I call my self a shopper I go in and out of places of business, just to Taste the food, the service skills, time it takes and clean cleanliness , remember customer service skills are very important. Another thing please remember people have apps on the phone and it will ask you what do you think about the place you just visited. Nice spacious place to dine. It wasn't crowded the morning I went, food was served in a decent waiting time. Food good, my mom had previously visited and fell for their link sausages; they were worth the talk. An older female hostess possibly the owner was present with a welcoming smile and good conversation during our dining. The waitresses that helped serve us were however not good, we had to ask for everything as they sat and talked. I'd still return there to eat, that experience won't deter my return, the pancakes weren't bad!
Ok, so this would be one of my more disappointing reviews. I had a rather large order that was placed about 30 minutes prior to my arrival. Upon arriving I found I was the only customer in the restaurant, so I naturally assumed the order would be ready. I stood at the counter in front of the host for a good 45 seconds before the somewhat rude host decided he was going to speak to me. I gave my name and the host said nothing, looked around at a few things and ran off too the kitchen. At this point I finally got the notification on my phone that the order was confirmed. I sat down in the waiting area while the host said nothing and gave absolutely no indication that my food was just now (35 min later being started.
Other carryout customers then began arriving, one of which flat out told the host that she tried calling in an order several times but noone could bother to answer the phone. 20 minutes later my food is finally given too me after the other 3 customers that had arrived after me had come and gone. It's clear from the pictures which were taken during what should have been a busy breakfast rush that this is the same level of service being provided all around. Not 1 soul sitting at a table anywhere.
Something I learned long ago is an empty restaurant can't possible have fresh product since they don't move them quick enough. I usually give places a second chance but this place will be a firm blacklist for me. Buyer beware.
I just want to share this experience, me and my wife always visit this place to get breakfast. until today 8/25/2022 that we was eating r "fresh fruit" and what a surprise that we found in our fruit plate, it was a roach it was so disgusting, can't imagine what's inside the kitchen.
