Cute shop with friendly service. Hot dogs weren't bad for a place north of the slaw line (add a WV dog to your menu ????). Burger had good flavor but I wish they offered more options for toppings. No vegetables (lettuce/tomato) seems like a strange choice. Fries were better than average.
The service was decent but the food quality was beyond awful.
Ordered the burgers with chili cheese and onions. The burgers themselves were thin, burnt and dry. The chili was old and not very flavorful. And the price was the worst part almost 6$ per burger. I'm not even joking I would have been better off going to McDonald's and I don't even like McDonald's ????
Had lunch here Saturday, at the insistence of a co-worker here in my home state (not PA). He has fond memories of this place, and promised that I would have the best chili dog I've ever eaten, and mandated that I also order cheese fries and a chocolate shake.
With no disrespect to the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe, it was okay, but not the 'best' chili dog I've ever had. The sauce is pretty watery, and the hot dog - for you connoisseurs - is a warm dog. Not one that is grilled or well done. The fries looked like they were going to be greasy but they surprisingly weren't, and had a really good flavor. I wish I'd skipped the cheese sauce, they stand on their own without it. The chocolate shake was good. In all, a very affordable lunch, but don't go expecting a miracle. :)
A lunch companion ordered a burger (at a hot dog shoppe!?) and said it was good.
Hometown atmosphere with lots of seating. The chili is delicious. The girl that took my order was very courteous and conversation was as if we've been friends forever. Reasonable prices even under the political garbage these politicians are doing to food prices
A fine little hot dog shop, only provided parking is in the rear of the building and they make you walk all the way around it to the front to enter. Poor access for those that are handicapped with walking issues. There is busy street parking that rarely seems available.
Food quality is fine, milkshakes are great! Staff greets you as you enter and is quick with ordering.
Location is clean, but nothing is provided at the tables, it is all at a small counter bar area near the front of the location. There are also no waste bins that are customer facing, so you just need to pile your waste on the tray they provide you and return it to the serving counter when you are done eating.
There is also a drive thru as well.
BRING ON THE JALEPENOS
what an awesome addition to the menu!! If you enjoy spicy, this will make you as happy as a clam. Add some wonderful jappies to your sloppy delicious chili cheese fry for nothing but pure cardiac arrest inducing bliss. Woooooooooooooo!!
Food was good. No interaction with the customers. Except order and calling out your name to pick up yor food.
