There was no one in the restaurant. I was the only person & the man had one job to do. He made me one chicken sandwich and it was so dry that even my dog doesn’t want it!
Was driving through Dundee and decided to stop here for lunch. What a great surprise. Definitely glad we did. Wife and I both got burgers. She got homemade chips and said they were very good. I got seasoned curly fries and they were good. Both burgers were excellent. Nice, comfortable, reasonably priced restaurant. Service was quick and friendly. I do recommend this place to eat. We'll be back if we go through there again.
My spouse and I enjoyed a late breakfast here with his parents. It's their favorite spot for breakfasts and we can see why! The portions are plentiful and the prices are low; the food is great, as is the service. My husband ordered the lasagna, which required a little extra time to prepare, but he said it was well worth the wait, and he had salad and garlic bread while he waited, so all good. The menu was extensive, so whatever you're craving, it's there???? It was clean and the staff was friendly and seemed to be happy to be there. Dundee locals are fortunate to have such a great place to frequent!
It's a very nice looking place, good variety on the menu. They advertise "Coney Dog" on the sides of the building, so this must be an awesome menu item.
Server was a young blond girl, didn't welcome us, seemed like she really wanted to be anywhere but there... What ever. Places order food was out FAST. The hot dogs weren't cooked all the way through (cold in the middle) and the Coney sauce while very tasty wasn't very hot (no where near the safe zone of 145° F) so I asked to have it remade.
2 minutes later new order arrived. Coney sauce still served at an unsafe temperature and the hot dogs still not cooked all the way through. I did complain again and she just said "well they were remade fresh" and walked away! Didn't even offer me something else.
When the bill came the Coney Dogs were still on the bill. Save your money, save your health. Go somewhere that is not going to serve you unsafe food and actually cares. I mean, I literally spent 5 minutes just trying to get her attention because she was so wrapped up in conversation with some other server. Another patron had to point out I was STANDING UP WAVING AND CALLING FPR HER.
This was my first time there, it won't be the last. The menu has a good variety of food, definitely something for everyone. The service was quick, despite being very busy. Good food!
Bricktown coney island and diner is a staple to the community it seems as a traveler like me walks through the door. They know locals by name. They know what drinks they want before they get to the table. As I walked in I was greeted with a friendly hello from the staff and an invite to sit where I like. Almost Immediately I felt like it was going to be a nice place to eat. It was around the evening maybe 4ish. Out of 20ish tables they were filled up with friendly laughs and conversation. Our waitress was patient with us as we sifted through a very crafted menu offering a variety of very good smelling food I might add. The food service was fast not 10 minutes sitting in here and the table who sat down just as I was entering had already ordered and started thier meal. I loved that. As we ordered again our waitress took our questions and took our order and now with anticipation and a very empty stomach we wait for our appetizer. We got the chicken strips Golden brown and tender and so juicy I'd say that was the most enjoyable chicken strips I've eaten. Cooked perfectly. Not shortly after our massive plates of food arrived. It's been awhile where I have gone and literally gotten my money's worth in food. The buger was juicy and loaded with my preferred toppings. And I wanted a side of chili cheese fries as it comes with fries however they got thier own plate! My guest ordered fish and chips and that didn't disappoint either. The breading was crisp and golden and when i tell you it was full of meat! 2 inches thick and crunchy goodness. The takedown was the Bricktown coney dog. Now I'm not a fan of cinnamon in chili but the chili suace paired with the golden cheese was good. I tried what the locals tend to eat as I asked. I wasn't disappointed by any means. A 5 star experience in my opinion. Great fast food to soothe an empty tummy, a community place where friends and family meet together. Bricktown is a winner
I had dinner with my family this evening at Bricktown. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. We were seated promptly and ordered drinks, but then waited approximately ten minutes for a server to take our food order. There was only one other table in the restaurant, with two guests who were also waiting for their order to be corrected, as it had been prepared incorrectly twice due to a miscommunication. Our food was eventually brought out, but we did not see our server again until she delivered the bill. Our drink glasses were not refilled, and when we were asked if everything was satisfactory, I was unable to respond as I had a mouthful of food. Before I could get her attention again, the server had already walked away. Additionally, there was food debris on all the rugs. As we were finishing our meal, another customer entered the restaurant to complain about an incorrect to-go order. He mentioned that he had tried calling the restaurant but was unable to get through. While I appreciate the quality of the food at Bricktown, I am uncertain if I will return due to these service issues. I hope that these problems can be addressed and resolved in the future.
Everything you want at the Bricktown Diner great food & that small town atmosphere. Huge proportions and everything was delicious. Put it on your list to visit
