As a Brit in NJ, moving to West Orange within delivery range of Brick Lane curry house ... oh, such joy. Truly the most authentic Ruby Murray I've had outside London. Between here, and The Pie Store, it's brought tears of sentimental happiness. Marvelous.
Quiet place right on the corner. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was decent, nothing special but not bad. I got the Chicken Biryani and found it to be a bit dry. The same goes for the interior, a respectable decor, but nothing to write home about.
Total garbage compared to the Jersey City location. The food is far inferior here, and doesn't taste fresh at all. It tastes reheated.
Best Indian food around. Location is ideal and place is very cozy. The staff is super friendly. Went for a lunch buffet and the meal was delicious.have also been there couple of times for dinner and never disappointed. If you are bold enough then try the Phall Curry. Also the plus is it is BYOB.
First time here and loved everything I tried! Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Paneer Vindaloo. So good! Didn't realize the Paneer Vindaloo was spicy but still delicious! The restaurant was small and cozy and I love the atmosphere. The owner and employees were very nice and came to check up on us. Will definitely come again!
My first visit to Brick Lane, it was soooo delicious! The staff was gracious and friendly even though it was busy. We enjoyed the suggested dishes and were so full there wasn't any room for dessert. I am looking forward to going back again .
This has been a favorite of ours since we moved to town 2 years ago but the last two times we’ve ordered, we’ve noticed a huge change in the quality. The chicken is now mixed/dark meat for the appetizers and mains - a big change from the all white meat that used to come standard with every meal. The meat is gamey and there’s no option to select just white meat. A bummer because we’ll be taking it out of our regular rotation…
The best British style curry you can get in New Jersey! The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. I had a large group and they accommodated nicely after 7pm during the week. Watch out for the Phaal Curry! It's very spicy! We even got to hang out with the owner for a bit and he made us feel very much at home. Highly recommended!
