Great place. Very clean and customer service was good. Prices are decent. Clean restroom. The only complaint is that the burgers were over cooked. They were extremely dry. We ordered 4 different burgers and all of them were dry. We ended up tossing them out. The drinks were good but not consistent with the alcohol amount. Some were very week and some were as expected. Lots of beer choices and the pickles were fantastic!!!! Would definitely visit again if I'm in town.
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The young boy was such a hard worker from hostess, to table bussing, to window cleaning. Good job! Food ingredients were fresh and large portions. Unique craft tap beer selection
Atmosphere: Walking in you are greeted by a large open dining area with a foyer leading to upstairs dining. Well stocked bar with craft beers and liquors to suit anyone's taste at a reasonable price range. Through the service window you can see a clean and organized kitchen.
Food: The burgers are FANTASTIC. The Mac n' Cheezy and the Egg-celent Burgers were both delicious and perfectly cooked. The pricing is reasonable and the size is generous.
Service: I was disappointed when we walked in. We received a snarky remark from one of the waitresses about wanting to sit by the windows.
However, our waitress was excellent, friendly gave timely service. I will come here again for your much better than average burger.
The brick or fried onions were humongous. If there are less than four of you I suggest a half order though they do air fry beautifully. The spices of the Brickhouse burger are mouth watering. The table servers worked together and treated our table as all their own when delivering or clearing. The beer was fresh and refreshing. The only draw back was we waited a bit to be acknowledged at the door and were seated without a smile. After that initial hurdle all was spectacular. The free plate of pickles was fun to sample.
Do not order the loaded Bloody Mary. The spices in the Bloody Mary are so over powering I could not drink it. It was terrible. By far the worst Bloody Mary I have ever had.. The smorgasbord with the Bloody Mary was Ok. Bacon over crisp, and burger over cooked. The kids slider was Ok, but the burger was way over cooked. The server was sweet though.
A bit of history aside from the pub. My Great grandfather built the hotel back when trains were the main mode of cross country transportation.
They had some interesting choices on the menu and the alcoholic beverage list was at least 4 or 5 pages front and back. My husband has a beef intolerance so the option for an elk or bison burger was nice. The burgers were done well, and served are served with a big ol pile of pickles. The Mac n cheese was good, a bit heavy on the nutmeg. We ordered one of the red wines and they brought us a white. They corrected the mistake but charged us for both glasses and a coffee my dad had ordered but was told they didn't have any. Pay attention to your bill if you don't want to be overcharged. I got the wedge salad, which was delicious, fresh and crisp with plenty of blue cheese. Our waitress was friendly enough, but not very good at her job, what with the wrong orders and the overcharging and the infrequent checks to refill beverages and see if things were OK. I may go back, but not anytime soon.
Food is okay at best. The fries are honestly great, but the food isn’t seasoned. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he agreed and stated that was a common complaint…….might want to do something about it then. The service honestly isn’t great. They have plenty of staff and not a full house. You’ll wait a long time to get checked on or get a refill. The atmosphere is fine. Very general, but the food is suffering.
I've been here twice and both times the food was very good, relaxed atmosphere and overall just a very nice place. Server was decent but forgot a few things. We never got our pickle tray, which we could have asked for but by the time I remembered they were supposed to come with the burgers we had finished our meal. Definitely worth checking out.
