I REALLY wanted a burger today and rerouted dinner plans twice before ending up here.
I've only eaten here one other time before today. The last time I got the roast beef sandwich with au jus.
I ordered the cheeseburger and cheese fries. My expectations were set too high. The burger was reminiscent of Louies Lunch. There was nothing except beef, cheese, and bread. There was nothing special about it. The fries were tasty but over cheesed. If I ordered a plane burger, I could have dipped it into the cheese fries.
Service wasn't particularly good either. No drink refills and super slow with bringing anything.
Guess I'll be heading back to Roll N Roasters.
If you want a little of all their signatures, get the gargulio burger. Wingdings were fun. Amazingly friendly staff. Bring cash
Love this place it’s so cute. Sitting down in this place it felt like I time traveled back in time. I can’t believe I just found out about it. Chicken fingers were so good. Chicken sandwich was great. Corn fritters with a side of hot sauce is definitely a must. Service was fast and foood was great and affordable. Great for families or just a cute little date. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

As someone who doesn't really care for roast beef, I can say that Brennan & Carr surprised me. It was pretty good! I've certainly had better, which might not mean much coming from me, but I'd definitely come again to try it with cheese. I'd also like to try the Gargiulo Burger. My brother loved it. The service was really good! And fast! We were in and out pretty quick. I did notice a few people who worked there watching people eat, but it wasn't too Distracting.
The waiter was fast and attentive. I got the roast beef sandwich with cheese and onions. I didn’t like how mushy and soggy the bread got. Also, the roast beef was cold. Didn’t really live up to the hype. Also the place is cash only which is super inconvenient.
Hot roast beef sandwich is a must. Staffs are friendly.
A Brooklyn classic that goes beyond the word classic. For nearly 75 years, my family has summered nearby and Brennan and Carr has the best hot roast beef sandwich’s known to man kind. They have limited parking, but they have a pick up window.
The best roast beef you will EVER have. The fact they’ve been around for so long should say enough in itself.
