I finally entered this restaurant without any wait time. The atmosphere was good and my server was very kind. It's a very, modern, chic dining spot. They don't make any changes to the menu items. So if there is something you don't like or prefer you will have to remove yourself upon getting your food. I had the yard bird and waffles. It was ok, I only wish my wings were fried a little crisper. I probably would dine again if someone who is in the pleasure of my company would like too.
The service and atmosphere were incredible. The energy from our server was so delightful. We came for the A-Town Girl brunch and it was truly an experience. Oh and not too mention, the food was delicious! The soul food egg rolls were tasty indeed. Every bite held its own individual tastes of the filling. And to top it off, the Queens City shrimp and grits! They were the best I've had in quite sometime. I will be returning to try some of the other highly recommended dishes.
The venue and bathroom were clean and nicely decorated. The staff were not very friendly. We sat at the bar since we couldn’t get an area for all 10. I had the pancakes and by the reviews they were so great. The taste was ordinary pancakes the only thing is they are huge. The pancakes are good for 4 servings. Everyone else said the food was ok. It was my first time but my friends said the service and staff were great before. Nothing can be modified or substituted you can’t even ask for no cheese. Once we received our food I saw a smile on our server face for the first time.
Fantastic!! We walked in and were seated immediately, our experience expert Wimberly was top tier! She knows that menu so well she speaks to it like it’s a second language ask her anything! I love a friendly knowledgeable server , she had recommendations based on your dietary needs and was very engaging from start to finish. Now the food was flat out fire! Soul roll is a must and the balance they have with flavors are unmatched. You can’t miss. Just go! Today!
My friends and I visited on a Sunday morning for brunch. There was about a 30 minute wait, but that was expected. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has a great vibe. The food was mediocre for the price. The giant pancakes are good — fluffy and cale like — but not spectacular, although the presentation is gorgeous. They are large enough to split between a few people. Our server was incredibly rude and inattentive all the way up until we handed her our bills. She never refilled our water or checked to ask if the food was correct and good. The restaurant also doesn’t allow substitutions or comp any items. When the server brought my friend the wrong order of eggs (side note: they seem to use powdered eggs), she still had to pay 50% for them. When we left, we spoke to other patrons who had a different server with the same poor experience.
I had an amazing time at BAB! The food was great, good ambience, friendly wait staff and DRE was an amazing waiter! He was friendly, ensured we were comfortable and made good recommendations. Above all, he was KIND!!! Great experience for an out of town guest! Highly recommended, and ask to sit in Dre’s section!
Decided to visit here for a birthday brunch, and it was great! The food, the atmosphere, and the service waa awesome! Dre was our server, and he was so sweet. He knew the menu very well, gave great suggestions, and had a sweet personality. I'll definitely visit again!
First timer and out of town guest. The shrimp and grits were great along with the pineapple mimosas. Street parking and garage. I called to get a wait time but this info couldn’t be provided over the phone. If you want faster seating sit at the bar. Brianna was an amazing bartender!!!
