Visited this place while visiting my parents (I usually live in Sydney, Australia).
The service is an absolute disgrace. We were redirected to the bar for having pancakes, while there was plenty of space in the saloon area. All other tables were taken already, but they appear to have a policy against eating in the saloon area.
We also brought a voucher for a free pancake. Even though there was no due date on the voucher, they rejected it because they claimed the voucher was valid only till the end of the previous month. When we insisted on using that voucher, the guy got angry and threw his towel away.
Overall, these guys still have a lot to learn about being customer friendly. The above behaviour would be unimaginable in other countries such as Australia.
I love to come here because the staff is friendly, the food and drinks are very good and served correctly. There is also a lovely terras with a small parc in front of it. But have a look at the price list before you order.
Beautiful setting near de Leie River, matched by delicious beautifully presented food and service with a smile ???????? We'll definitely return!
