Great Belgian classical brasserie. Wonderful service and friendly staff. Loungy terrace in summertime and next to a big park. Enjoyable lunch and dinner, also brunch in weekends. Even suitable for large groups. Highly recommendable.
Nice laidback atmosphere in a friendly neighbourhood away from the crowds. Dinner was good, with great service and perfect sized portions. Mains were good, desserts okay. All in all my husband and I had a good night out.
First time there since new owners (they took over in may). An hour after ordering food we asked why it took so long. Waiter forgot to pass the order to kitchen. When the food came another 40 min later, the steak came with the wrong sauce, the mussels were over cooked, had no onions and no mussels sauce. Won't be going back despite multiple apologies. Not good enough.
Nice cosy place to enjoy a lovely meal or just for a drink. One needs to make a reservation as it's quite popular, well-situated across te Boelaerpark and close to public transport. Not a large menu, but you get real value for money and the service is excellent.
At 17h15 they told me that all tables would needed at 18h, therefore we could not sit now. They didn't even asked if we wanted to sit inside or in the terrace.
When we commented this with people sitting at the next door terrace, they were shocked even if they new Brasserie 2140 has a reputation in the neighbourhood of being pretentious and racist... local people's words... such a disappointment.
Always very nice, honest food and tasty dishes. A little bit overpriced, I would have given a 4 otherwise...
