I never felt so humiliated..disgraceful, dismissive, Dishonored, mortified and embarrassed in my entire existence . As you can tell in my text, I requested for waist length boho knotless braids. And not butt length. They braided it butt length instead. I also specifically requested that I do not like my braids heavy ( full) because of my work setting I have to wear my hair in a bun. I was ask to pay the 460.00 when my hair was half way done. I never experienced that before. The length isn’t manageable. The curly hair is falling off piece by piece. I have no choice other than to take it down. I reached out through text as you see and the response was unhelpful, no resolution. Not surprised, cause the customer service was unprofessional to the very max. The braiders complained the entire time. They were nasty. Loudly laughing over head and eating the entire time. I kindly asked one woman to please do not braid my hair with that apple in your hand. The other braiders was just as rude.. yelling that there only here for the “America Money!! America money” forget the reviews”!!. Let me tell you, If my birthday wasn’t in two days and if I didn’t drive 1 hour and 15 mins. I would’ve immediately stop the line and their service. I could not believe what was happening.Uncivilized behavior I regret coming to here. Never again
Apart from the music being a little loud I had an overall I had a beautiful experience. Fast service, really clean and Fancy shop. I must say this is not your typical African braiding shop. They really put a lot of thought into creating a beautiful environment for the clients. Just bring down the music a little bit. Thanks Mercy
This place is not clean. I was in a crunch because my normal braiding place wasn't available. I came in sat in the chair was looking for the style i wanted. . As I was sitting a mouse was coming out of the trash can. No one seem to be alarmed but me. If that wasn't enough there were roaches. This place is not clean and as much money as I'm sure they make there is no reason why this place can't be cleaner. Even the outside had braiding hair all over the place. NEVER AGAIN!
Despite some of the reviews…My experience was AMAZING Will be taking the 2 hour drive from Virginia from now on!! I walked in at 9:30am with no appointment and was seated immediately. Frida and Lauriece worked magic on my hair. In 5 hours I was up and out of there in enough time to beat DMV rush hour traffic. Both kind talented ladies. I looove them. They also played worship music which was a plus for me! It’s only been a day but I’ve put my hair in multiple buns and got some of it wet in the shower and my curly pieces are holding on tight.
I got some Island Twist from here she gave me the original price of $280 which is a bit pricey, but that was fine. when I got there the price changed from $280 to $330. Before I even booked my appointment I specifically asked what was the price because I was on a budget. I booked my appointment after she confirmed the price of $280, once I got there and said I have an appointment I had to wait a whole hour before even sitting in the chair, which is ridiculous because I had an appointment! A woman started my hair, Everything’s was going fine. She was moving pretty fast too. The hair is really pretty but for $330 I would not ever get this style again from this business. The only reason I stayed and got my hair done is because my birthday was the next day and I need my hair done. Biggest problem I have about my hair is it cost $330 and Literally half the curly pieces have fallen out, they even started falling out the same day as I got them done, which is outrageous. it’s been a little over a week now and about half my head has no curly pieces because they consistently fall out. You don’t even have to touch your hair you’ll just feel hair dangling and touching your legs and boom. It falls off and for $330 that is a huge problem. The curly pieces should not be falling out of my twist.
My appointment was for 10am I was a hour late - I was sat within 15 minutes of waiting - staff moved extremely fast for small knotless. Affordable price. I highly suggest this place. The also have a new location across the street called VIP braids or something really nice.
I came to get my hair done website say special for $380 for bora waist length, I get there I wanted small or even smedium they tell me 800.. Miss not in this life time! So I change to the bora bob 350 for "human hair" this was last Monday May 20th & today May 29 my hair is a mess shedding like crazy, super tangled all the "curly" pieces are gone the hair is falling out every time I touch I my hair, this is some kind of blend its not human hair. I will never step foot in this place again and it's ran like a sweat shop, 20 workers bouncing from person to person, one person start the hair, someone else add the curly pieces then someone else finishes.... Then for $350, that's not no small amount at all!! lesson learned.
Every time my kids and I gotten our hair done it’s been a problem!!! My friends even said they aren’t going back unfortunately-Poor customer service, they change prices after you lock in a price and literally will argue with you because you’re right and have proof they’re wrong, it’s not worth the headache me and both my daughters been going to this shop and their Main Street shop that closed down for some time I’ve even sent other people to get their hair done there but enough is enough. They lack professionalism, cleanliness, they don’t honor their original prices they argue about it it’s a BIG NO FOR ME MOVING FORWARD I SEE WHY THE REVIEWS ARE SO HORRIBLE!!!
