If you want delicious home cooked food, please come here. It's definitely off the beaten path, but well worth it. Such a hidden gem. The food will take you back to childhood holiday dinners.

And the desserts are phenomenal.

Bowman's is clean, FRESH and phenomenal ???? I honestly think they have the best French fries I've ever had in my life. We stopped by just for a snack before dinner with my parents, but we definitely plan on bringing my parents next visit and trying more on the menu. I got fries, corn on the cob, cornbread muffin and a roll and my husband got the BLT and we have never had fresher ingredients. All across the board 5 stars. 10 out of 10, highly recommended! This is a one of a kind place and I absolutely love it!

Food was so delicious I got fried catfish with mashed potatoes and fried vegetable medley and it was so good. Some of the best food I’ve had. My son had chicken and fries and he said it was the best chicken ever and my daughter loved their macaroni and cheese. My sister was happy to see they served pickled beets and slaw. The only complaint I have was it was a little pricey but I would definitely eat here again as a nice treat every now and then. It’s lovely.

Arrived at 7pm, seated immediately and looked over the menu. About 7 minutes after ordering we had our dinner.

Kinda off the beaten path but worth it. Everything I ate I would order again. I got the brisket potatoe salad and fried medley. The warm banana pudding is great. Edit: came back and I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Tried the meatloaf and it’s wonderful. The warm banana pudding would kill a diabetic. Best home style restaurant around period

Drove by their sign on the highway and stopped to take a photo since my last name is also Bowman. Decided to give it a try for lunch and WOW! what a wonderful gem of a restaurant!

First of all, the entire place is spotless. The staff is friendly, attentive and very helpful. The food is absolutely the best I’ve ever had at a “home cooking” style restaurant. My wife and I ordered different items and sides, so we got a good sampling- every item we had was delicious and prepared perfectly. We didn’t have room for it, but we even got the warm banana pudding for dessert. I can highly recommend this place and am looking forward to returning soon!

This place is a hidden gem in Gordon County. If you have never been, you are missing out. Family cooking ran by a local family with all the favorites just like your grandma used to make it. Better get there early, or you will be waiting for a seat.

Hubby and I went here for our Friday night date night. Excellent service and food. A bit steep price wise, so we want be eating here to often. But for a special occasion it's worth the price for a good home cooked meal.
