Best WLM Reviews
This is my favorite place to bring my children and still be an adult. I’ve visited 4 times since last month, with yesterday being the last. My son and I went in on May 22, 2024 at 4:20pm with my Groupon voucher for two hours of bowling. The attendant at the desk (Caucasian, heavy set female) said that she could give us a lane but we would have to jump up at 6:20pm because she has a full house. First of all, I don’t jump over puddles of water when it’s raining and I’m not jumping up from a lane. I’ll walk away when it’s time but not a minute sooner. The waitress was nice but it seemed like we were in a rush to order. Like damn, let me see what’s on the menu sis! Once I realized that I was in fact being rushed, I ordered so more and then some more. At 6:20 I left the lane in better conditions than I met it. Speaking of, the floor on lane one needs to be looked at because the balls sounded like flat tires going down. We played arcade games until 7:30pm and it wasn’t a full house like she stated. The bathroom floor was repulsive, my shoes got stuck to the floor as I tried to make my way to the stall.
3/24: Aside from the GM Jordan and a great guy at the front desk, every single employee here was grumpy and acted like it was an inconvenience when asked to do their job. Lane management was abysmal - our original lane assignment was sharing space with a large family and when we asked to be moved so everyone had more space, they treated it like the end of the world, and eventually sent us to 2-3 other lanes that already had people on them. The server came by our lane ONE time and we never saw her again, having to order drinks and food from the bar; which is totally fine, but then don’t have servers. Bathrooms were always guarded by employees trying to clean, who acted like you were out just to make their job harder. Do not recommend - find somewhere else to bowl.
Honestly, everything is was perfect for the exception of one thing in particular and that was punctuality.
4 stars for 4 reasons
1. The person/waitress who was in charge of our lane that night was awesome! She replenished our food when it ran low.
2. The bowling alley itself is nice, kept, clean and nothing broken.
3. The food and drinks that came with booking an event was pretty good. We chose tenders, macaroni cheese bites and veggie egg rolls; all of them were really good.
4. The place was pretty big and spacious. It’s very similar to Dave and buster as far as the arcade games they had.
Minus 1 star because our check in time was at 8:30pm -10:30pm unlimited bowling for 2 hours. When we got there on time at 8:30pm our lane was not ready until 8:45-8:50pm. They promised that we could play until 11pm but around 10:40pm the lanes shut off! We paid 57 per person to play 2 hours but it was less than that. 5 people on one lane and we were able to play 2 fulls games and 3 frames on the 3rd game. One other complaint the pins are attached by strings but not a major factor or make or break.
this was just a delightful visit. The AC was exquisite, while the food was just perfect. don’t even get me started on the bowling and games, quite a lifetime. Definitely recommend!
Bowling is a great way to kill a few hours on a weekend when the weather outside is less than ideal. While I wish there was an old school local bowling alley around, Bowlero is pretty much the only option in this area without a decent drive.
This place is definitely geared toward families and kids, with a giant arcade you have to walk through to get to the lanes (which I’m sure was strategic). The food was very reasonably priced and there were some good deals for weekdays available too. Our group of four opted for two appetizers and the 100oz Power Tower, which was $53 for Michelob Ultra and varied based on the beer you chose.
The two reasons I’m withholding a star are the price and the bowling pin setup. The pins are actually wired from a compartment above the lane, which prevents them from falling naturally when hit. It’s a bit frustrating at times and diehard bowlers may not like this. The bowling games here are also a bit pricey - $10 per game per bowler, or there are options to rent a lane for a period of time. Two games and shoe rentals for a group of four was $110, which is not exactly family friendly, especially if your kids want to play in the arcade too. It was even more expensive to rent that lane for an hour and a half, which is about how long it took us to bowl and finish our beer. There are good deals for unlimited late night bowling on certain days of the week, so we’ll take advantage of that the next time we want to go back. It’s too expensive otherwise, probably because of the quirky franchise feel.
April 29, 2024 UPDATE
Miss. Castellani reached out to me. She explained the future online reservations will be non refundable. I'm happy she gave me a refund. I'll remember this policy. Despite their policy, this is the best bowling alley by far!!!!
April 27, 2024 UPDATE
I attended Bowlero once in the past. I left a raving review. Friday, April 26th I made an online reservation for 3 people. $167.00. I find out Friday evening that 2 people in my party tested positive for Covid. I made several attempts to cancel my reservation. I spoke to someone at Bowlero. They told me to go to the website to contact someone. The website gave me the number to Bowlero. Felt like I was being bounced back and forth. I left several message at a customer service number. I'm trying to do my part and cancel in a timely manner. As I'm reading more on the website, I see that Bowlero doesn't accept cancelations. I received a call on the day of my reservation and the rep left a message saying she wanted to talk to me to reschedule for another date. I'M NOT A BOWLER. My special needs son loves to bowl. I chose this location because I felt safe and I received great service. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR CANCELATION POLICY. You charged my debit card $167.00 and I haven't received any services. Your cancelation policy has left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm on the fence about coming back to your establishment. This updated review was not intended to bash Bowlero but to make people aware to use caution when making an online reservation because if you can't make it, you are NOT GOING TO BE REFUNDED.
This place amazing. I've been to many bowling alleys in the area, and this one is THE BEST!!!. We ordered the Big Cheesy Burgers and fries. It was way better than the bowling alley food I've had at other places. I was greeted by the Manager Jordan and the event coordinator Tasha... very accommodating. Our server was Collene, which was very pleasant and sweet... I'm going to plan a girl's night out!!!!
Always a good time! Nice, clean and spacious. Multiple lanes. Walk-ins welcome but best to reserve for large parties. Good food and drinks. Good service. Gaming area for the kiddos that don't want to bowl. Parking on street (limited) and parking garage a block away. Check it out.
Went for an adult birthday party. Was decent enough, certainly better bowling than some other small alleys in Arlington, but be aware the pins are on strings.
Arcade games were plentiful and not too expensive. I'd estimate you'll spend between $20 and $50 per kid of you bring them along.
Service was a little hard. They have tablets to order from but they didn't work. Finding the waitress was sometimes challenging from the bowling lanes. I recommend you eat at the bar area then play.
