Got the boudin balls. They were ok. You can taste the liver in it more than other places & it wasn't as spicy as others.
Food was okay…not awful, not great. Roux in the gumbo was thin, and everything in my seafood basket was overcooked, but had decent sized portions. The potato salad was different. The service was quick!
I saw their billboard Hwy-10. I am glad that I went to Boudin King. Family own. I had a bowl chicken and sausage gumbo, Boudin balls, and onion rings. Everything I ordered was excellent. I highly recommend to stop there for lunch or dinner
The fried gizzard dinner is fabulous & affordable. The employees are always friendly, attentive, & they work in a very timely efficient manner which is another reason why I love ordering my food from Boudin King. Thank you for being 1 of my favorite family owned restaurants in Jennings for 2+ decades now & counting ????????????????
At my age I can remember when the business Boudin King was world famous for its Boudin beating out other just as famous places like "BEST STOP" Is it my imagination or is it real? It seemed when Mr. Ellis Cormier passed away it seems the famous Boudin isn't so famous anymore. I recently ordered (1 wk ago) slightly under a pound to test the Boudin to see if it indeed changed. It has changed & consist mostly of just Rice with very little meat in the Boudin sleeve. Sorry to admit this, but I couldn't even give the Boudin away because of how it's made now. But...hey...that's just 1 of the many food dishes served at this iconic restaurant. ***Please don't allow my review, with one dissatisfaction of a product this restraunt serves, to deter you from ordering/eating there. The customer service is always excellent & friendly.
Boudin King never ceases to disappoint me. The fried chicken was rubbery, the skin was soft not crispy, the Boudin was bland, and our table was dirty. There were about 5 teenagers on shift playing and joking around in the kitchen/register area. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I ordered a 5 pound platter of boudin over the phone. Boudin could not be cut until payment was received. I paid & picked it up through the window.
Good food. They did great handling a group of 15. Bit crammed in. Very noisy. Lowest price for meal in the 4 days we were in town.
