Best WLM Reviews
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Puerto Rican restaurant and I must say, the fried chicken was amazing! The flavor was just perfect - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The seasoning spot on and made each bite a true delight. The service was also top-notch, with friendly staff who made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Puerto Rican cuisine, especially if you're a fan of fantastic fried chicken. A truly unforgettable dining experience!
Delicious ????????????????Place was recommended to me as a very good tasty food, really they nailed . Finally; it took me back to the flavor of a excellent Chinese restaurant from Puerto Rico, good portions it's served, very friendly environment. I took the liberty to ask people who were dinning in for the second time and they had the same impression Excellent ???? restaurant.
So, I went after working out at Planet Fitness, as it is a few doors down. It’s a small store front with 5 tables that holds 4 chairs each. All 5 tables were taken, so I placed my order to go. I love spicy food and ordered the enchilado shrimp combination, which comes with fried rice and fries. I didn’t get the fried rice because it comes with pork, and I was able to substitute for tostones. I opened my container and noticed a small piece of ham in my shrimp sauce and had to return it because I’m pescatarian. I wasn’t happy about that because I had already waited for it to be prepared. They did, however, make it over with no issue. The shrimp was not spicy at all but did have a good flavor. Honestly, my favorite part of the meal was the garlic sauce that came with the tostones. I dipped my fries in the sauce and woolly probably go again and just order fries with a side of the garlic sauce. It would also be nice if they added more options to the beverage selection. The only drink options were Malta, soda, or clam juice.
Have been dying to try this place, have seen the hype and when it first opened it had amazing reviews, so today after a longggg day and sports practices I thought let’s try it..
We placed an order online 7pm Wednesday night, said order would be ready by 7:30. We ordered boneless ribs (which were like pork chop chunks in very sweet sauce), asked for the rice with no veggies, we also ordered sesame chicken, orange chicken, and lo mein..$60.xx
When we got there at 7:40 to pick up, the lady at the cashier said “I don’t know if they called you but we don’t have orange chicken”
So in place of the orange chicken We ordered beef instead.. waited from 7:45pm to 8:10pm for my order….
I understand the whole 3 burners in the kitchen situation but someone should've called me to tell me you don’t have what I ordered. A quick simple call would’ve avoided an extra 25mins wait. My kids sat in the car tired and starving for 25mins because someone did not call me to tell me they were out of something…
When we got home we realize our lo mein is completely missing from the bag, the sesame chicken had no sesame, the chicken and sauce were both white and pale and it looked like it was imitation chicken. Definitely not your standard “sesame chicken” if anything it looked more like a garlic chicken (see picture below). My dad literally eats anything and everything and he said the chicken was bad, not exaggerating but he spit it out. The rice we wanted “plain” had tons of veggies, chunks of ham and pork (so for y’all non-pork eaters be aware)
My parents had the beef and they said it was good but I think it was bland. The fries and the tostones were good …
When we called the restaurant, the lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. She explained all of their rice comes “fully loaded” and they don’t offer plain fried rice, she also apologized about the way the chicken looked and said that that’s how they make it there . As for the lo mein, she offered to make the order for me to pick up or she offered a refund. We took the refund which was done in minutes.
I’m really disappointed. I’ve waited for months for them to open, they finally opened and the hype was crazy so I waited for the hype to “die down”, I waited over an hour from the time I placed my order to when I received it and it was not worth it ! Not at all what I was expecting it to be.
Wish I would’ve read the reviews from few weeks ago before going…
I’m really bummed out. Maybe after they move and get more than 3 burners the food will taste better …
Definitely a traditional Chinese restaurant that you will
Find in Puerto Rico! Quality and taste is amazing! If you haven’t been in a Chinese restaurant that have that puertorican touch you must stop here and try this place!!
I did an online order for an orange chicken and sesame chicken . It states it would be ready in 30 mins . I went in and the lady up front asked me “ no one called you “ I said no and she said because there is no more orange chicken. So I had to wait for my replacement meal . Once I got my food I and got home I was overall disappointed. I don’t even think I got the right order . I ordered sesame chicken but it looked like grilled chicken . The fries were stale , the rice had no flavor , and the chicken was dry . I had such high expectations for this place .
Food quality isn’t worth it. I didn’t have issues with wait time or staff but the food could definitely be much better. This was my “sesame chicken”
While the service and employee interactions were great, I must express my disappointment with the overall dining experience. Despite a reasonable wait time of approximately 30 minutes, the food failed to meet the standards one would anticipate, especially from a new establishment with promising potential. We ordered a Mofongo combo, Sweet and Sour Chicken combo, and a chicken breast with fries. Unfortunately, the presentation and taste of the dishes left much to be desired. The chicken, in particular, appeared as if it had been sitting under a lamp for an extended period, resulting in an unappetizing appearance. Furthermore, the fries were stale to the point of being barely edible, and the orange chicken was served cold with a hardened texture inside. Having lived in Puerto Rico for almost my whole live, I was eager to experience the essence of our culture through the cuisine. Unfortunately, I found the dishes lacking the authenticity and pride we associate with Puerto Rican food. As a Puerto Rican, it's disheartening to see a missed opportunity to showcase the richness and depth of our culinary heritage along with the love we put into every single dish.
Given the high hopes for Borichino as a new business, it is disheartening to witness such inconsistencies in food quality. In comparison, there are food trucks in the vicinity providing more satisfying meals at a similar price point.
