Bonsai Japanese Cuisine is my favorite spot in the area for chicken katsu curry! The dish is consistently delicious with a heaping portion of crispy chicken. Each visit, I'm impressed by the quality and quantity of food served. The flavors are delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the enjoyable dining experience. If you're craving Japanese food done right, Bonsai is the place to go. I would highly recommend it!
We just happened to walk into this restaurant one day and this place has quickly become a favorite in my family. They have a lot of variety and big portions for a good price. I don’t even like sushi, but they have plenty of other options so I never leave hungry.
My husband and I have dragged all of our friends and family here and so far everyone has become a fan. It has definitely become our comfort food.
The staff is accommodating, the food is cooked pretty fast and their appetizers are great to fill in that time. Their gyoza is SO good, I had actually never tried it before coming here and out of all of the places I went to after, theirs is still my favorite.
They’re really nice people and they make it a fun experience.
I highly recommend this establishment! (I’m actually craving this and I’m hoping I will make it to stop by today ????)
Got bento boxes and one crunchy roll for lunch and we all loved everything!!! Service was fast and good, place is clean and parking is also plenty. Will definitely come back!
This was our first time here. The staff was pleasant. The restaurant was inviting. We both ordered a bento box with chicken teriyaki and mixed tempura which comes with salad and miso soup. The tempura was light and tasted very fresh. The chicken teriyaki was dry and bland. It looks like they use one method to cook it and then they quickly sear it on the grill with no marinade until it gets cut. The chicken was very white with the exception of the grill marks so you can tell it wasn't cooked all the way through on the grill.
Overall not bad, but not great.
It was a busy Friday dinner rush, so we sat at the bar. We ordered the Chirashi, grasshopper roll, and salmon roll. Overall, it was good and we would come back! As far as the service... It was dinner rush busy, so a little patience was needed as servers were hustling and bustling. The highlight of the night was the fresh wasabi.. not the pasty stuff =)
Popped over here the other week. Service was really prompt and we went right when they opened. After our order for takeout, the server was polite and asked if we wanted water and gave us an ETA. We walked around outside for a bit and then while we were waiting out front, the server brought our food out to us.
Everything was great and it was plenty to enjoy for two meals, we had the three item bento and two special rolls. Would come again and consider eating in.
Showed up on Mothers Day to have a nice lunch/ dinner and was denied at the door saying they are taking a break from 3 to 4 pm! No note on the door what so ever explaining that! What restaurant shuts down in the middle of the day to take a break??? Sorry WAS our favorite restaurant not now!! Won’t be spending any more of our (whole family) money here!!
Second time eating at Bonsai and we were not disappointed! The food was excellent and the staff great! We ordered the Seafood Ramen, Sashimi Salad and a 4 Season roll. The portions are generous and we almost could not finish the meal.
Highly recommend this restaurant!
