Norm (owner/mechanic) is awesome and very helpful. For ALL your auto needs, this is the shop to go. If he can't do it for you, he can recommend a quality person who can.
The phrase, Honest Machanics is usually referred as an Oximoron....not here folks....they have always been extremely kind and honest. I will never go anywhere else...they are old school guys. My 2005 Mustang Convertible, with only 68k on her, was letting me know as I went Over any bumps in the road... something was up...I was right...and after Norm looked at her,.gave an EXACT estimate and installed, Front Struts, Sway Bar Links, outer tire rod ends and front end alignment....I drove her home today ! Never drove better ! I am beyond thrilled and I wasn't taken to the cleaners.
Bollinger is one of the most honest mechanics I have ever worked with. Doesn't try to upsell you on things your car doesn't need. If you have a problem with your car he will tell you exactly what needs to be done and prices are very reasonable. The only place I would take my car to get serviced in St.Pete.
This place may not look like much, but the people who own and work at this shop are AWESOME!!!!!!! Including the dog inside the shop! Service is done for the price quoted and in a timely manner. When asked a question and they don't have the answer too, they will tell you that they don't know and will then work at finding an answer. Honest people here, so hard to find in automotive repair. I recommend them to everyone I come in contact that needs automotive repair!
Bollingers is a great, honest and established family business, I wish they still sold gas but their shop is the best around, thats why I always take our cars there. When you find a good auto shop like Bollingers, you stick with it. They know about just about any kind of engine there, from motorcycles to caterpillars and cranes, but they only work on cars.
Norm and Bollinger's are the best. I've been taking my cars to him for many years and he's always fair and goes above and beyond for his customers.
I have dealt with Bollinger's Garage for many years now. They always deal with you honestly and do a great job. As long as they are in business, I won't be going anywhere else.
Coincidence??? I wont take another chance!!
My car needed new oil pan. Picked it up the next day, noticed a whirring sound (didnt make this sound when I took it in). Called, took car back. Mechanic said"oh yeah, I tightened the alternator belt, it was loose, squealed when he started it (didnt squeal when I took it in). He loosened it a bit, still had whirring sound, he said "that's the best I can do". Next morning battery, brake, ABS lights come on. Called, took it back again, he put tester on it and said "your alternator is bad, I can replace it for you". I said "no, I'll take it somewhere else". Google says "An over-tightened belt can burn out any bearing that the belt rotates on, including alternator, power steering pump, A/C compressor, idler pulleys, etc. An over-tightened timing belt can ruin any pulley bearing it is connected with". Shop that installed new alternator said "the pulley was shot".
